“The hotel industry? I was born into it!” Sylvia, a young bubbly and energetic woman, and her brother grew up in another hotel a few streets away (which they also manage). Just opposite Toulon train station (as the name suggests), The Originals Boutique, Grand Hotel de la Gare, Toulonis popular with many guests on stopovers, but also provides comfortable budget accommodation to a lot of people coming for short stays. Like them, if you are visiting Toulon for business or holidays, you are sure to enjoy the convenience of the location as well as the family atmosphere in this 3-star establishment with its 39 rooms. Sylvia recruited local artists and craftspeople for the hotel’s recent renovation. “My maternal grandmother was passionate about antiques, we inherited a taste for nice things from her.” The result is a wonderful mix of simplicity of lines, modern colours and creative whims.

The focus is on the original custom-made central table displaying a selection or sweet and savoury organic products. Also note the Toulon proverb written on the wall: “Ches si levo de Touloun, se levo de la raisoun” (he who leaves Toulon, loses his mind). The hotel does not have a restaurant. But no need to lose your mind, Sylvia and her team can provide good advice to help you discover the authentic flavours of their city.

"Very nice visit"

The hotel staff were really lovely especially Justin who was very helpful on our first very late arrival. He was very patient and up graded our room at midnight The hotel was really clean and comfortable. I would have liked more coffee pods in the room as I like a few cups of coffee when I am in the room. Otherwise very nice hotel, lovely staff and I would be very happy to recommend it.

"Hartelijke ontvangst"

Heel hartelijk ontvangen. Een 4-persoons kamer die we hadden geboekt bleek een 3 persoons te zijn. Een extra bed werd er in 10 min bijgezet en 1 ontbijt was de volgende dag gratis. Prima opgelost. Het hotel heeft een mooie buitenruinte met speeltuin, zwembad, tafeltennis en restaurant tuin. Ook het ontbijt en drankje in de avond kon buiten op het terras genuttigd worden. Hele fijne stop voor ons, een gezin met 2 tiener zoons!

"Très sympa"

Hôtel proche de la gare SNCF et routière tout en étant calme. Notre chambre donnait sur une cour, il n y avait aucun bruit. Le centre ville et le port sont rapidement accessibles à pied. Choix de restaurants à côté. Le personnel est hyper sympathique. Je le conseille.

"Great Hotel"

The hotel is right across from the train station but was not noisey at all. Comfortable beds. Nice A/C. Perfect location for just roaming around downtown and easy walk to the waterfront. We really enjoyed our stay.
