“This historic villa is entirely dedicated to happiness.”

Francesco welcomes you to this fine, late-18th-century residence, nestled at the heart of a green setting. “I like to share my love of Tuscany with my guests”, explains Francesco, who runs this charming boutique hotel. Within the walls of this superb Italian villa are 15 rooms and suites spread over three floors. Their Tuscan style lends an air of elegance and authenticity. “Sophistication is the key word here”, emphasises Francesco. You’ll notice this in the hotel’s restaurant too, where you’ll enjoy delectable traditional Italian cuisine.
Four-poster beds, terracotta floors, exposed beams on the ceilings, antique furniture: the villa’s 14 rooms have assumed a truly authentic, elegant, warm Tuscan style. The atmosphere in every room is romantic and sophisticated. Ground-floor rooms have their own private entrance. On the upper floors, the magnificent view over the Tuscan countryside is very soothing. The hotel also has an amazing suite with its own private terrace and jacuzzi, housed in a chapel.

FLORENCE UFFIZI GALLERY
This legendary museum is one of the world’s richest. Its collections lead the visitor through the evolution of Italian painting, from the earliest artists to those of the 17th century. The museum is housed in the former Uffizi palace, the offices of the Medici administration. Built in 1560 by Vasari in a late Renaissance style, its two parallel galleries, linked in a horseshoe shape, flank a full-length square.
PODESTÀ PALACE AND NATIONAL MUSEUM OF BARGELLO
Built in the 13th century, the Podestà Palace is a fine example of medieval architecture. Its court is one of the finest in Italy, with its imaginative décor, including the coats of arms it inherited from the various podestà who lived in the palace. It houses a museum of prime importance for Italian Renaissance sculpture, and a decorative arts section. Admire marbles and bronzes by Michelangelo, and the exceptional collection of works by Donatello.
THE FLORENCE BAPTISTERYThe baptistery dedicated to Saint John the Baptist, the city’s patron saint, is an elegant octagonal building dating from the 11th century. It is clad in white and dark marble, and its bronze doors, embellished with magnificently sculpted panels, are renowned throughout the world.
THE LEANING TOWER OF PISAThe Leaning Tower, a 58m-high bell tower and belfry, is the symbol of Pisa. An accomplished example of Pisan Romanesque art, it is encircled by six floors of galleries which appear to rise in a gentle spiral. Bonanno Pisano undertook its construction in 1173, and a century later Giovanni di Simone attempted to correct its lean but was unable to complete his task.
What our customers say
"Great service all around"
Everyone at the hotel was present and accommodating, from the hostess who greated us to to the wait staff at the restaurant (which also exceeded our expectations). Would be a 5, had it been located closer to the city.

"6 night vacation"
My wife and I had the best experience at Villa Marta. The room was extremely quiet, relaxing and we had a huge bathroom with a rain shower. The food was superb with very generous portions. Pasquale ran the restaurant with precision. The pool was warm enough to swim in and the location was in a nice quiet location off the main road. Close enough to drive to Lucca in 10 minutes. We will be back!

"A Tuscan experience"
We loved staying at this Villa, all of the people there treat it is wonderful. The rooms are Cousy and clean. The staff always willing to help us. The only advice we can give to the hotel is that the master suite is really cold this time of the year... maybe putting more carpets would make it better. Thank you!!
