Ideally located in Bastia. A recently refurbished family establishment. Welcome to Clara Laby’s hotel.
“Our guests should feel fully welcome. Here we pay attention to the slightest detail. This is what makes the difference.”
The Originals Boutique, Hotel Les Voyageurs, Bastia, has a history: “one of hospitality!” says Clara. The young woman, who chose a career in hospitality because she enjoys taking care of others, is proud to today work for a family hotel. “The hotel was opened in 1910 by the grandfather of the current owner. Over the years it became a compulsory stopover for villagers who were looking for a hotel room to stay in Bastia. Tourists on their holidays in Corsica and businesspeople replaced the villagers when visiting the city but the spirit of this now 3-star accommodation has remained. Every evening at 7.30 all guests are given a complementary drink. “We don’t necessarily speak the same language, we may not share the same interests or passions, but we are all together. Guests come to us by chance, they return out of love. ”
Asia, Aeroplane, New York, Venice, Hot air balloon, Orient, Boat, Space… Each of The Originals Boutique, Hotel Les Voyageurs, Bastia’s 23 rooms and suites is decorated in a different theme. All to do with travel, whether the destination or mode of transport. Not always very big, the appeal of these recently refurbished rooms is in their originality and comfort. They are all soundproof and air-conditioned. Two ‘Superior Comfort’ rooms are equipped for handicapped guests.

BASTIABastia is a real gateway to Corsica, a city of art and history which prides itself on a very rich religious and civil heritage. “We always advise our guests to reach Bastia’s citadel not by the main road but through Romieu Gardens. It’s an amazing walk which gives a view over the whole old town, the old port and the sea. We also encourage them to take the ‘Les Légendines’ walking tour to explore the city centre and learn about our city’s legends and history. ”

What our customers say
Good hotel near the harbor and city center. Rooms are a little smal, but clean. Nice bathroom with good sbower. Breakfast is a little disappointing. Staff is friendly
Great location, two minutes walk from the airport bus stop. Very comfortable, clean and quiet rooms with very efficient air conditioning. Very friendly, helpful and efficient staff. Very convenient car park. Weld certainly stay there again and will recommend to any friends visiting Bastia
I thought the hotel was very comfortable and clean. The people at reception were very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was very good as well. The only issue through out the stay was that we had no hot water in the evening - between 7pm and 11pm, although it came back in the morning.
"Good experience, tweaks could make it great"
Overall, the Les Voyageurs is a really good hotel in the 3 star category; the location is great, the boutique-style décor is charming and the rooms are spacious and clean. The staff is also super friendly! Small tweaks I would suggest: add a vanity kit to the toiletries you offer guests and consider change the toiletries to something locally produced to enhance the authenticity feeling. There is only Early Grey tea in the room. You could consider adding one or two more choices. The hairdryer in the room is designed for straight hair. Consider offering a softstyler - it could be one the guest could request at the reception like you would an iron and ironing board if you fear theft. The breakfast buffet is good but consider adding a little guide to boiling the eggs, whether the guest want it soft or hard boiled. And to add or change some choices into locally produced goods. So, all in all, little tweaks and some of them probably easier to implement than others, given you are part of a chain (but maybe the suggestions would also go for the other Originals destinations).
"A very pleasant stay. "
Very friendly and helpful staff, nice rooms and generally a good atmosphere.
