A peaceful and friendly establishment, a dynamic team. Welcome to Delphine Rousseaux's hotel.
“Personalised and quality service for all our guests.”
Delphine is passionate about her work. “I get so much from talking with guests,” she explains. As manager of The Originals City, Hotel Apolonia, Bordeaux Lake since 2015, she is proud to lead a dynamic team. “Our challenge is to give our guests the best service so they feel at home.” When it comes to this 3-star hotel, it’s Delphine who puts it best: “Our guests know that they come because we are (very) nice; because they can eat well, and most importantly local products; because after a meeting they can relax at the bar; because we are close to Bordeaux city centre; because we are very close to vineyards; because they have been before and so want to come again.
The Originals City, Hotel Apolonia, Bordeaux Lake’s 72 recently renovated rooms can accommodate 2-4 people. The decor is standardised with a mix of warm colours and wood coating. They are not very big but their layout, comfort and equipment will ensure a good and restful night’s sleep. They are all air-conditioned and some are interconnecting.

The Originals City, Hotel Apolonia, Bordeaux Lake’s restaurant is open every day (except weekends). Its 80 seats are arranged around bistro tables or high tables with bar stools. The touches of purple give character and the wooden floor gives warmth to this large space for relaxation and socialising, bathed in light and with a terrace where you can enjoy a drink bought at the bar. The cuisine is classic and local, made from fresh and homemade products. This is also the breakfast room where you can enjoy a buffet with a wide choice of sweet and savoury.
Football and rugby fans will appreciate the hotel’s location near Matmut Atlantique stadium. Nature lovers will appreciate the proximity of Bordeaux Lake for walks or jogging. But Bordeaux and its surroundings are not short of attractions either...
BORDEAUXOn the banks of the Garonne river, the town is a mix of a gentle way of life and the beauty of architectural sites. With its dual heritage, historic and wine-producing, this city of art and history has been on UNESCO’s World Heritage list since 2007. The Pearl of Aquitaine has over 350 buildings listed as Historic Monuments. The Cité du Vin museum is worth visiting with its novel cultural equipment devoted to wine as cultural, universal and living heritage. National Geographic lists this place in 7th place out of the best museums in the world!
THINGS TO SEE NEARBYThe region is full of villages and vineyards. Head a bit to the east to Saint Emilion for medieval heritage and visits to wine cellars. To the west is the very touristy Arcachon Bay and its oyster-farming cabins, the Gironde estuary and its islands, the Dune of Pilat, ocean beaches...
What our customers say
"Lovely hotel, good breakfast which kids werent charged and the staff were very helpful."
Just one recommendation. You need to have the windows fixed so that they can be opened as the room smelled musty on first entry as the room hasnt seen fresh air in a long time.
Staff was very nice and helpful. Hotel is in need of renovation. AC in room was not strong enough.
"A too short stay in a great Hotel"
We were only passing through and needed a stay over night before travelling to the South of France. This hotel offered all we needed for us, our two children and were happy to take in our small dog as well. The children were delighted to be able to sleep in the loft area with their own TV. The room itself was a little small, but we had a kettle to make tea and coffee.
"Good enough "
It is a nice hotel with friendly staff. I would stay again
The Originals City, Hotel Apolonia, Bordeaux Lake is very close to Bordeaux’s congress centre and has good bus and tram connections making it a perfect place to hold your meetings, seminars and study days.
