An ideal location in Gap. Conviviality and comfort. Quality service and welcome. Welcome to Christian Bihi's hotel.
"I want customers to feel at ease, whether they are here for leisure or on business" .
"We are a friendly, comfortable and ideally located hotel", underlines Christian who manages the Hotel The Originals Gap Gapotel. That is because his modern and functional 3 star hotel is located 5 min on foot from the train station and 10 min on foot from Gap's city-centre, in the Hautes-Alpes. The warm and friendly hotel houses 69 modern and functional rooms, including one suite and a duplex apartment. With its pleasant heated indoor swimming-pool and its restaurant, the hotel is perfectly suited to couples and family stays, but also to seminars and business meetings.
- WALKING IN GAP
- QUEYRAS REGIONAL NATURE PARK
- ROUTE DES GRANDES ALPES
- THE MEIJE GLACIERS, LA GRAVE
The hotel houses 67 rooms, one suite and one duplex apartment. They can accommodate between one and nine people. The rooms are lift accessible and some have been specifically designed to accommodate persons with reduced-mobility. High quality bed linen and extensive facilities guarantee you maximum comfort throughout your stay. With a minimum surface of 12 m2, some rooms enjoy a terrace, and are perfectly suited to couples, families, friends or colleagues.

The hotel has its own restaurant, Les Écrins. In a friendly atmosphere, you can savour a regional cuisine made from fresh products for both lunch and dinner. You can also head to the bar to relax with friends or colleagues. And, for a good start to your day, Christian recommends the copious buffet breakfast served in the restaurant facing the swimming-pool or on the shaded terrace.
Located in Gap, in the Hautes-Alpes, the hotel allows you - summer and winter - to take advantage of the charms of this beautiful region.
WALKING IN GAPLocated in the Alps, but already in Provence, Gap is a charming city where it is pleasant to walk. Surrounded by snow-covered peaks, the city is filled with twisted narrow streets from medieval times and lined with façades displaying warm colours. Take the time to stroll through the historical centre with its Mediterranean charm, notably around the Jean-Marcellin square.
QUEYRAS REGIONAL NATURE PARKWith some of Europe's highest villages and an average altitude of 2,200 m, the Queyras Regional Nature Park is enchanting, whether one is looking for wide open spaces or for an ancestral lifestyle. With its grandiose superior circus dominated by mount Viso, standing at 3,841 m, the Queyras and its 4 valleys (Arvieux, Guil, Ceillac and Molines-Saint Véran) are already bathed in a southern light.
ROUTE DES GRANDES ALPESThis road offers a magnificent journey across the Alps. From one pass to another, from Léman lake to the Mediterranean, this mythical road crosses the breathtaking landscapes of the Chablais, Beaufortain, Vanoise, Cerces, Queyras, Ubaye and Mercantour massifs.
THE MEIJE GLACIERS, LA GRAVEIf you are not afraid of heights, take the gondola. You will go through the Peyrou-d'Amont plateau, the Ruillans pass (3,200 m above the sea) on the Râteau's north-west side, with views of the Meije, Râteau and Girose glaciers. The panoramic view from the landing platform is spectacular. You will discover the Aiguilles d'Arves, the Mont-Blanc and further, the Vanoise and Thabor massifs; to your left, the Belledonne and the Grandes Rousses mountain chains.
What our customers say
Fourth time in this hotel. Stayed for 12 nights. Excellent value. staff were marvellous.
The hotel was very calm and for the price it was good. They tried to speak in English and so it was easy to communicate.
"One night in Gap"
The hotel was clean and comfortable great for a one night stay as we travelled to Italy. There was a supermarket around the corner. great for refuelling and picking up essentials. The staff were very helpful.
"Clean and comfortable hotel"
This hotel is situated away from the main part of town but it is easy to reach the centre by a regular ferry where there are a variety of restaurants and the beach. This hotel is on the port side and it is good to walk along. There are fewer places to eat but they do exist. The hotel whilst a bit dated was very clean. The bed was large and comfortable and it was fantastic to have an efficient air conditioning unit after spending a week elsewhere with none! We had our best nights sleep ever! The breakfast was fine. However the coffee machine was temperamental and only seemed to work when it wanted to. All in all a good stay. We really appreciated the complimentary bottled water in the room and the staff were very friendly and helpful Thank you
"Good for overnight stay"
While travelling by road from Italy to France we found this to be a good stopover for the night. It was a pleasant stay and we would recommend this hotel. The price was good but we found the cost of breakfast to be a little high as we only have a cup of tea and toast. Perhaps there should be a sliding scale depending on how much you eat!
Located near the train station and Gap's city-centre, the hotel puts at your disposal 3 seminar rooms. They are all well-equipped and enjoy lots of natural light.
