A charming hotel opposite the Bourg-en-Bresse train station. A park with century-old trees perfect for relaxation. Welcome to Marc Cornet's hotel.
“We welcome you every day of the year to our hotel boasting Napoleonic charm and quality services.”
Marc took over the management of The Originals Boutique, Hotel Terminus, Bourg-en-Bresse Station in 2006. A change of life for this former salesman at a large computer group, he did a professional 180 and today is thriving in management and guest contact. It must be said that the setting of this 3 star Bourg-en-Bresse hotel is pleasant. A nineteenth century building hiding a 5000 m2 park with old trees out back. Upon crossing the threshold into the entrance hall, you are immediately captivated by the majestic setting. Carved ceiling, mosaic floors, period furniture and counter, the second empire stopped here. The 48 recently renovated rooms have also retained their old-fashioned charm, while leaving room for modern comfort. A welcoming, smiling and caring team. A lovely experience.
Very spacious for the most part, the 48 rooms of The Originals Boutique, Hotel Terminus, Bourg-en-Bresse Station sometimes show a contemporary and colourful style, and other times a more bourgeois and classic style of décor. Some rooms have views of the 5000 m2 park located at the back of the property. You can reach your Standard or Superior Room via a modern lift. The Napoleon III style lift, utterly magnificent, has been kept only for decoration.

If you do not plan to start the day without a good coffee, you have chosen the right hotel. Marc says the espresso he offers is “exceptional” like the rest of the products offered with the breakfast buffet. To be enjoyed indoors or in the park, the perfect place to enjoy a drink from the bar. The hotel does not offer a restaurant on site (the train station area has everything you need), but it offers the concept of “In-Room Snacks or Small Dishes”, a range of cooked dishes available at reception.
Centred in a circle linking Lyon, Mâcon, Lons-le-Saunier and Geneva, Bourg-en-Bresse is a pleasant stop on the roads of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. Your trip to The Originals Boutique, Hotel Terminus, Bourg-en-Bresse Station will be the opportunity to discover the department of Ain and its many treasures and activities.
BOURG-EN-BRESSEThe capital of Ain is a pleasant city that has maintained a heritage testifying its successive developments and changes. The pretty historic centre has some old buildings: half-timbered houses dating back to the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries and the Porte des Jacobins dating from 1437, the remains of an ancient monastery. But the biggest attraction of the city is the Royal Monastery of Brou, a flamboyant Gothic masterpiece commissioned by Margaret of Austria. Bourg-en-Bresse is also a gastronomic capital, famous for Bresse chickens (AOC). Every year since 1862 in mid-December, the “Glorieuses de Bresse” is held, a famous fine poultry competition honouring Bresse poultry rearers.
THINGS TO SEE NEARBYExplore the Revermont region: walking or cycling, fresh air, charming villages and panoramas from the Alps to Burgundy and from the Jura to Beaujolais will be on the agenda. For those who like excitement and activities: tree climbing, paragliding, mountain biking and many family activities await you. Be sure to also take the time to visit the Ain Valley, at the foot of the vineyards of Bugey and Cerdon, the Bird Park of Villars-les-Dombes, the medieval towns of Châtillon-sur-Chalaronne and Pérouges, the nautical port in Pont-de-Vaux, the Abbey of Ambronay, the caves of Cerdon, Trévoux and Ars-sur-Formans...

Bourg-en-Bresse was the mid point on our trip to Italy. The hotel is an ideal place to stay, close to restaurants and bars . Breakfast was good and the onsite parking was useful. Friendly staff we’re on hand all the time
Good beds and nice shower. Good restaurant Asian food nextdoor.
On our way to the south we spend a night in this hotel. It was a very pleasant stay, using the beautiful garden to drink a nice local beer.
"A Hotel of Great Character "
We stayed at the hotel for one night en route to Italy. The hotel is centrally located and easy to find with both hotel and on street parking. The staff were friendly and helpful, but their English was as good as my French - we muddled through. The rooms were simple, a lot of 1930s decor and romantic. The rooms very very clean, and although there was no air conditioning there were fans; we had no problems sleeping. We would very happily stay there again.
