A WALK THROUGH VIEUX LYONA walk through Vieux Lyon, the city's historical centre, won't give you a full picture of everything Lyon has to offer. However, strolling through the Saint-Jean, Saint-Paul, and Saint Georges neighbourhoods is still a must-see. These districts formed the heart of the city. During the time of King Francis 1, there were 18,000 weaving looms in this area alone. Stunning Renaissance-era homes can still be admired here, providing an exceptional urban backdrop. This is also the neighbourhood of the famous traboules, or passageways between buildings with ribbed and vaulted or French-style ceilings and interior courtyards with Renaissance galleries.
LYON FINE ARTS MUSEUMThis museum is one of the finest in all of France and is home to exceptional collections of both paintings (a range of pieces from all the major periods of European pictorial art) and sculptures (from the Middle Ages to the 20th century). An extensive collection of Egyptian, Middle Eastern, Grecian, and Roman antiques, a series of marvellous curios and medals, illustrate every era from every continent. Without a doubt, this museum is a must-see.
MIRIBEL JONAGE PARKLocated on the outskirts of Lyon between the Miribel and Jonage canals, this park covers nearly 2,200 hectares. This urban park is a protected natural area that includes unexpected riches. Within its bounds, you can relax, recharge your batteries, and get back into shape. The park is the perfect place for land and water sports and is host to shows, events, and much, much more. Simultaneously a launch point for recreational activities, a place to discover nature, and a lively cultural hotspot, this park is a green oasis that's just a stone's throw from the hotel.
The Originals City, Hotel Éclipse, Lyon East includes three meeting rooms that can host 10 to 100 people depending on how you would like to arrange the room and the type of your event (meeting, business meal, cocktail hour, etc.). These air-conditioned rooms feature natural lighting.
