With their ready smiles and natural hospitality, Carole and Stéphane enjoy a challenge too. As they explain, their hotel is “on the main holiday route”, south of Grenoble in Pont-de-Claix. The Originals City, Hotel Villancourt, Grenoble South therefore caters for tourists in a hurry, others who are less rushed, regular guests, and demanding business travellers seeking a convenient base. Carole and Stéphane have designed this comfortable 3-star hotel, ideally situated near Grenoble and to the ski resorts of Alpe d’Huez and Les Deux Alpes, to suit every type of traveller. It’s a functional hotel with the emphasis on hospitality and a warm welcome. “Our guests like the hotel’s location, and the welcome they receive. Many of them come back again”, says Carole. The 33 pleasant, spacious rooms, most with a balcony, are conducive to rest and relaxation.

SKI OR NATURE?

The hotel lies less than an hour’s drive from a number of Isère’s ski resorts such as Chamrousse, Villard-de-Lans, and Les Sept-Laux. It offers easy access to the stunning regional natural park of the Vercors too. This natural limestone citadel extends over 186,000 hectares across the Isère and Drôme departments. The Vercors offers wild, majestic, mysterious landscapes such as the Grands Goulets and the Bourne gorges, just waiting to be explored for a day or more.
