With its medieval streets lined with beautiful half-timbered houses and flower-filled ramparts, Vannes is a vibrant city, much visited for its rich architectural heritage. Its summer events attract large crowds, who then relax on the terraces of the marina. The former Customs Officers’ Trail, created during the Revolution to monitor the coast and combat smuggling, is now one of the most popular hiking routes. Offering breathtaking views, it allows walkers to discover the beautiful sites of the Gulf of Morbihan: the Sept Îles in Baden, the port of Vannes, the Sentier des Culs Salés in Séné, the marshes stretching from Séné to Saint-Armel, and the Petit Mont in Arzon. Make sure to check distances and difficulty levels before setting out!

Where the menhirs seem to have fallen from the sky. For several kilometers, they stand in rows like soldiers frozen for 6,000 years. On this site the most spectacular in the world there are no fewer than 3,000 monoliths, whose origins have inspired many stories but no certainties. It’s up to you to let your imagination run wild!
