They may have changed region but Valérie and Christophe's occupation remains the same. "Hotels are our passion," and this has lasted for more than a quarter of a century. In late 2018, they left Grand-Est and Montbéliard for Charente-Maritime and the good life at Saint-Palais-sur-Mer, near Royan. They opted for a beautiful noble lady – a venerable ocean home with the scent of sea spray and holidays that has seen generations of visitors and holidaymakers come and go in the 30 years since it opened. Fully renovated and renamed The Originals Boutique, Hotel La Villa West, Royan Beach, this three-star hotel has 26 rooms with contemporary charm, a wine bar (Le New Vintage, which also doubles as a seminar room), an intimate family home-style tea room (don't miss the delicious pastries cooked up by Isabelle). The hotel also offers you a SPA with jacuzzi, sauna, hammam and massage room. The beach is a three-minute walk away. The sound of the waves can be heard from the hotel. The welcoming, warm and friendly hotel is a real reflection of Valérie and Christophe.

RESTAURATION
Cereals, spreads, pastries, home-made cakes, honey from a local producer and local drinks will be served at breakfast. The Originals Boutique, La Villa West & Spa, Royan Beach has no restaurant but does offer a tea room. Sweet treats made by Isabelle, the house pastry chef, Mariage Frères teas and a warm and intimate decor. It seems that we serve the region's best hot chocolate and whipped cream! For pre-dinner drinks, direction the hotel's Lounge bar where soft sofas await you. At dinner, the team will recommend one of the many Saint-Palais establishments, namely Chez BOB, a local institution.
