The hotel business is a family story for the Lavergnes. A relatively recent story begun by Jean and Bernadette, Jérôme’s parents, in 1986 when they took over The Originals Boutique, Grand Hotel Saint-Pierre, Aurillac. The establishment is an institution and has been an important part of the Auvergne city’s hotel scene since it was built in 1860. The 3-star establishment has 49 comfortable rooms, a spa, several seminar rooms and a renowned brasserie. “Guests come for the food but also to admire the magnificent traditional wooden room, listed as a historic monument!” says Jérôme.
