Hunt, fish, and enjoy: experience Sologne from field to table. Welcome to Pierre's place in the Loire Valley.
" Make people happy and help them experience memorable moments that will make an impression. "
As a former passionate restaurant owner, Pierre applies the same philosophy to his hotel business as he does to cuisine, explaining that "the beauty of the experience and the warm memories are all a part of the same thing." Pierre opened his 4-star hotel in 2009 amidst 75 hectares of green countryside in La Ferté Saint Aubin, around twenty kilometres from Orléans, in an old farmhouse. He designed it to be a personal living space dedicated to recreation. Featuring a hunting estate where game is prepared in a three-fork, Michelin Guide restaurant, which Grégory has made famous, a farm, farm animals, and three ponds where guests can fish, L'Orée des Chênes, The Originals Relais is more than just a hotel—it's an experience in the heart of the Loire Valley.

There is something for everyone to enjoy at L'Orée des Chênes, The Originals Relais, with a holistic experience offered to guests and one night or week-long stays available.
Grégory did not build his hotel in Sologne by chance. He is a true admirer of the region, and his place is ideal for anyone wanting to surround themselves with nature and breath in the fresh air alongside wild animals and birds: tucked away within 65 hectares of unspoilt natural forests and ponds.
Rod in hand, this is a perfect opportunity for guests to take a break and try their hand at line fishing in one of the 3 ponds surrounding the hotel. A born foodie, Grégory has even requested that guests’ catch of the day may be served to them in the gourmet restaurant.
L'Orée des Chênes, The Originals Relais has not quite forgotten its roots either: 25 animals still roam between the estate and the hotel farm’s open enclosures, looking for attention from guests young and old. The few chickens living there even provide fresh eggs for breakfast.
SWIMMING POOL AND SAUNABetween April and October, the 12.5m2 heated outdoor pool opens to complement the sauna, for a dreamlike break surrounded by trees and forests.
HUNTING DAYS, CLAY PIGEON SHOOTING AND ARCHERY
Whether a skilled practitioner or a beginner trying their luck, groups are able to try out some of the activities typical of the region, with its strong hunting heritage. L'Orée des Chênes, The Originals Relais offers guests the chance to try their hand at some of the region’s traditional sports, with guidance from bow and gun experts.
Given his intense love for the region, Patrick wanted to offer guests an experience that is deeply rooted in the land itself: as well as a round of golf or a ramble, a trip to Orléans ends with a visit to the Loire castles.
Nestled between oak trees and lakes in the heart of Loiret, these 4 meeting rooms, 3 committee rooms and other conference spaces are bathed in light, offering visitors a new way to work.
