Its location in the Alpilles, the building's old country house style cachet, a magnificent garden and a congenial team. Welcome to Isabelle Patriarche and Nicolas Barbier's place.
"To transform a hotel stay into an exceptional stopover, in complete peace and quiet, and to make our guests feel like they are at home" .
Isabelle and Nicolas' story is that of a professional encounter. She had always wished to work in the hospitality trade; he, a landscape artist by training, had a green thumb. In the early '90s, they combined their talents and took the helm of the hotel Hotel Val Baussenc, The Originals Relaislocated at the entry of the small village of Maussane-les-Alpilles, in the provence countryside. In this corner of the Bouche-du-Rhône, where nature can at times be capricious, Nicolas brings to life a magnificent garden which charms the guests just as much as the 3 star hotel's services. "We've been here for 25 years and our regular guests consider our hotel their second home but without the constraints. They love the unique atmosphere found here because of our presence, our good humour, our generosity and the relationship we have fostered with them. They generally only have one regret: having to leave! .
The hotel Val Baussenc, The Originals Relais 23 rooms are all uniquely decorated. Practical, modern, bright and spacious, they will mostly charm you with their peace and quiet. But also with their little attentions, like the olive oil and natural ingredient complementary toiletries fabricated at the very heart of Maussane-les-Alpilles . Without forgetting the small calissons or nougat nicely presented on the bed and accompanied by a welcome message.

At breakfast, it's facing the swimming-pool or the garden that you will soak up the sun and the flavours. The buffet offers all the necessary to fill your plates copiously with home-made cakes, honey, jams, fougasse bread and local fruits.

What our customers say
We loved the experience. The worse aspect of the stay was the very poor inadequate wifi connection . I had a manuscript deadline and could not keep this despite trying..you had advertised a wifi connection. Staff said that others had complained too.
