Château de Dissay The Originals Collection

Already owner of a hotel in Normandy, Christophe wanted to take over an exceptional building. “A unique place for a unique experience!” They found it in 2016 in the commune of Dissay, within easy reach of Futuroscope (Vienne). A chateau which is listed as a historic monument and dates back to the 15th century. “As well as having the character, we immediately saw the potential”. A 6-hectare estate, rare moats, a great capacity for guests, stained glass windows and frescos from the 15th century.... Two years of work were needed to restore the prestige of this place which now has 5 stars above the entrance. “For us, it was not about revolutionising it but about keeping the character and soul of the place.” 33 rooms have been installed, a gourmet restaurant has opened and a 430m2 spa has been set up in the old wine house. The verdict of the first guests: a memorable experience.

Weather permitting, you can sit out on the courtyard’s shaded terrace to eat your breakfast, lunch or dinner. Otherwise you can sit in the wonderful dining hall, featuring a huge Aubusson tapestry. A continental buffet in the morning, gourmet flavours for lunch and dinner. For those looking for somewhere to relax and socialise, head to the chateau’s old billiards room where you will find the bar and its precious nectars (in moderation).
