Kersten and Thierry thought about it for three years before starting out on their big adventure to take over the Château de Périgny in Vouillé (Poitou-Charentes) in 2007. "We left fantastic careers with all the benefits you'd expect to build our own business," says Thierry. A stressful beginning transitioned into the joy of taking the plunge. More than a decade has passed and the couple has never regretted their choice. Together, they completely renovated and brought a new dimension to the 35-hectare estate which boasts 43 rooms, many seminar rooms and a gourmet restaurant. Kersten and Thierry invite you to this dreamlike place for a lovely or even unforgettable stay in Vouillé, like the times when the estate played host to a film shoot, organised the take-off of two hot-air balloons for 25 people or echoed to the sound of a hunting horn concert.
