“Behind every smile, every detail, there's thoughtfulness, a local partner, and a story,” reveals Julien, associate deputy manager of the establishment.
It's the story of Caroline and Hervé, who, after 20 years in the graphic design industry, dreamed of a new path. It's also the story of Justine and Julien, a trained sommelier and restaurateur, who couldn’t resist returning to their roots in their native Loire region.
“I never imagined, as a child, that this grand historic building in Saint-Just-Saint-Rambert would one day become our hotel,” Justine still marvels.
It took two years of renovation for the former Mellet-Mandard residence, once home to a wealthy family of 19th-century local merchants and later converted into a hospice for over a century, to begin a new chapter.
Now reborn as La Maison des 2M, it houses 24 rooms with authentic, restful charm, a bar, and a seminar room, and the "Fantastic Four" of these new hoteliers can’t wait to welcome you.
