For Lionel, the hotel business is a world of discovery. “Of people but also of places. We learn to broaden our horizons by talking with guests from a region or country that we don’t know.” And Lionel and Sandrine have seen a lot over their years in the industry. That’s even how they met, in Lourdes. “We were touched by a miracle,” jokes the hotelier. In early 2018, they set their suitcases down in Niort to take over The Originals Boutique, Hotel La Grange, Niort. A former farmhouse, turned into a night club, became a 29-room hotel in 2013, that provides comfort accommodation at budget rates to Niort and La Rochelle visitors. The exposed white stones, beams, chimney, the farmhouse’s bread oven, terrace bar, (round!) swimming pool and wellness space, make this 3-star establishment a charming place to stop, just a few minutes from Poitevin Marsh.
Note: Pets are welcome in our hotel. For common areas, such as the breakfast room and the pool, it is best to leave it in the room.

The Originals Boutique, Hotel La Grange, Niort 29 rooms are all air-conditioned. The decor is simple and contemporary. Some feature exposed beams and very beautiful walls made from La Rochelle stone. They are suitable for handicapped guests. Harmoniously designed rooms for families (4 people) are available, with a space for parents on the lower level and a mezzanine for the children so they can each have their space for privacy and comfort.

Breakfast is served in a room with exposed stones, next to the farmhouse’s old bread oven, or out on the terrace, weather permitting. “Every morning we make scrambled eggs and a seasonal fruit salad,” says Lionel. The buffet uses fresh and local products. “We don’t have a restaurant but we do offer a dinner tray with a quality main dish prepared by a caterer.” The tray can be served in your room, by the swimming pool or in the lounge bar where you can also enjoy a nice drink at the end of your day.
When you want to relax, Sandrine and Lionel invite you to take a dip in the pool, work up a sweat on an exercise bike or take advantage of their different treatments: Between different massages and modeling.
