Friendliness, sharing, get-togethers...Discover a hotel with a full-on family feel. Nicolas and Cristelle Montagny are waiting to welcome you.
“I chose this line of work so that every day I got the chance to meet incredible people”.
Cristelle and Nicolas are delighted to welcome you to the Hotel The Originals Roanne North Hélios hotel, where you're sure to feel right at home while enjoying your holidays at the Loire Valley. “The whole family lives here,” says Nicolas, “and we eat breakfast with our guests”. It was these shared moments that led the Montagnys to get into hotels in 2013. “We wanted to meet people,” they say. And people they have met. Their 3-star hotel has 41 rooms and is located just outside a business district on the N7 road, a few kilometres north of Roanne, in Auvergne area. In Mably, more specifically. From the reception right through to the dining room (La Table des Tuileries), and from the pool access to the services offered during meetings, everything is taken care of to make sure that your stay at the Hotel The Originals Roanne North Hélios hotel is a special and friendly moment to share. “We look after our guests as if they were family”.
The 41 rooms at the Hotel The Originals Roanne North Hélios are not memorable for their avant-garde décor; rather, their comfort, practicality, facilities and cleanliness are everything that guests wanting a quiet night’s sleep on a business trip, or en route to their holidays, are looking for. A note regarding the family rooms (4 people): “We have put 2 televisions in two separate areas, as we know that kids don’t watch the same thing as their parents!”

Whether you're with family, friends or colleagues, a place is set for you around Nicolas and Cristelle’s table, where you’ll find that everything - from the starter to the dessert - is homemade. Guests will also love cookies and fresh fruit salad on the breakfast buffet: also homemade. Head to the bar for a drink or a quick meal, with its high bar tables and leather club chairs. This is one of Nicolas’ favourite spots: “Guests come here to have a good time, and swap stories” .
The area around the Hotel The Originals Roanne North Hélios hotel is not really anything to write home about. Unless you’re a shopaholic, of course...whether you're into sports or more of an explorer, here are a few ideas for discovering the region.
SWIMMING POOLRight next door to the hotel, a (non-heated) turquoise swimming pool glimmers invitingly at the bold: perfect for a few moments of downtime or some family fun and games. A few loungers have recently been added to the little sunbathing lawn, too.
OENOLOGYStretching out along 25 kilometres of stepped hillside, the Côte Roannaise vineyard is definitely worth a detour! Running alongside the famous Nationale 7 trunk road not far from Roanne, it is here amidst rolling countryside strewn with incredible villages that the region's winemakers ply their trade. If you’d like to find out more about this delicious nectar, don’t hesitate to drop in on one of the winemakers; they will be only to happy to see you.
THEME PARKOne-of-a-kind Le Pal owes its uniqueness to a threefold approach: created in 1973, it is the only theme park in France to combine rides, animals and unconventional overnight stays. There are 27 rides, 700 animals, animal shows and educational activities on offer at Le Pal, spread across 50 ha of parkland. It is 7km from the hotel.
ROANNEThis beautiful city sits nestled on the banks of the Loire and has all sorts of fun and surprises in store for you with its marina, pedestrian streets, ancient city centre filled with Southern accents, and myriad of cultural activities to discover.
AUTOGYRO EXPERIENCENicolas is also an autogyro pilot, and will whizz you up and away to admire the region from the skies with Roanne Gyrocoptere.
Two meeting rooms are available for use. Measuring 15m2 and 65m2, they are able to accommodate up to 15 and 40 people respectively, depending on the selected layout. They are available for half-day or full-day hire, with or without a catering package. “We serve food straight from our kitchen, which means our guests can work interruption-free and still eat well. No cold plates here!”, says Nicolas.
