Anibal chose to go into the hotel business because of “the variety of the work”. Providing high-quality services is top of the list. High-quality rooms, which have recently been refurbished. A high-quality dining experience at La Berteliere, The Originals Relais’ restaurant, Le Jardin d’Hiver, which enjoys a wonderful reputation in many Normandy guides, and which is “a restaurant which is not only popular, but famous,” according to Anibal. Last but not least, high-quality hospitality provided to professionals, with no less than 9 reception rooms here for all kinds of work meetings, complemented by the complete tranquillity of the countryside. Located in Saint-Martin-du-Vivier, the 4-star hotel enjoys an ideal spot: “it’s close to Rouen and all the excitement of city life.” Without all the stress. The 44 rooms at La Berteliere, The Originals Relais look out over the flower-filled garden’s water feature, or the rose garden. Recently refurbished, they are comfortable practical, and decorated in a unique, classic, and welcoming style. They all have a bathroom with separate toilet. Double rooms offer king size beds (180x200). Should families wish to stay in adjoining rooms, this can also be accommodated. The hotel also has rooms which have been adapted for mobility-impaired guests.

La Berteliere, The Originals Relais has two dining rooms. One is L’Auberge, with a magnificent self-service buffet featuring both hot and cold options made with organic and local ingredients. The other is Le Jardin d’Hiver, for lunch and dinner. This French restaurant’s reputation is well-established, with its diners falling in love with both the cooking and the room’s gorgeous decoration. The bar offers guests the opportunity to taste some of the region’s specialities (ciders, calvados, etc.) or even the house-made cocktails, which you can enjoy tucked away around the fireplace, out on the terrace, or in one of the hotel’s many lounges.

"Comfortable and convenient stay"

This is our second stay at La Bertelière and the hotel is conveniently located close to the motorway to the Eurotunnel. The rooms are comfortable and the restaurant is excellent! Dogs are accepted but €18 is twice the normal cost of other hotels - not sure this cost is fair. Breakfast very expensive at €19 per head so we gave this a miss! Staff are friendly and professional.

"Comfortable stay"

A lovely hotel in a quiet setting. Well appointed bedroom with long desk area with plug sockets of all types, most useful. Tea tray with proper cups and saucers too. Beds very comfortable. After 5 nights on the road in hotels of varying quality, this was a welcome change. Food at dinner was delicious. Nice gluten free rolls for breakfast. Easy to find on the edge of town. We will definitely come again. Thank you.

"Good hotel, near to highway A10 and the city of Orléans. "

The hotel is situated in a quite environment, a large garden, near highway A10 and Orléans. Breakfast is very good. Rooms are renovated and clean. Its a pity the beds are quite small. Tall travellers might have a problem. There is no restaurant in the hotel. But within a few minutes walk you can find some simple restaurants. For superior restaurants you have to go to Orléans, I expect. The hotel is also a good starting point for visiting the Loire region.
