GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF USE OF THE ORIGINALS CLUB LOYALTY SCHEME MANAGED BY SA EUROPEENNE D’HÔTELLERIE

  1. PURPOSE

The Originals Club Loyalty Scheme is managed by SA EUROPEENNE D’HÔTELLERIE, a limited company retail traders’ cooperative with variable capital whose head office is located at 22 Rue Maurice Grimaud – 75018 - Paris, identified in the SIRENE directory under number 328 179 726 and registered with the Paris Trade and Companies Register; and by the group’s member hotels.

The Originals Club Loyalty Scheme is designed to provide its Members with the benefits described below during their stay in the member hotels of the SA EUROPEENNE D’HÔTELLERIE group participating in the scheme. 

Any person applying for membership to The Originals Club Loyalty Scheme is deemed to have read and accepted these General Terms and Conditions of Use. Any use contrary to these general terms and conditions may lead to the immediate cancellation of the loyalty account, including its benefits, and all accumulated points, without giving the Member the right to claim any compensation for any reason whatsoever.

SA EUROPEENNE D’HÔTELLERIE reserves the right to change one element or all of the elements of The Originals Club Loyalty Scheme at any time.


  1. DEFINITIONS & IDENTIFICATIONS

Guest: Natural person non-Member of the Scheme staying at one of the group’s member hotels

Member: Guest joining The Originals Club Loyalty Scheme by creating a loyalty account, validating his identifiers and having accepted the General Terms and Conditions of Use of the said Scheme

Group: Means SA EUROPEENNE D’HÔTELLERIE, manager of The Originals Club Loyalty Scheme

Scheme: Means The Originals Club Loyalty Scheme

The Originals Club: Name of the Loyalty Scheme of the SA EUROPEENNE D’HÔTELLERIE group

Accent Card Loyalty Scheme: Name of the former loyalty scheme of the SA EUROPEENNE D’HÔTELLERIE group, whose current Loyalty Scheme is called The Originals Club

 “Loyalty Benefits”: Terminology used to describe the reward or gift vouchers

Benefits: Means in general all the benefits, services and/or gifts offered to Members of The Originals Club Loyalty Scheme

Check-in: Arrival date at the hotel
Check-out: Departure date from the hotel


  1. JOINING THE ORIGINALS CLUB LOYALTY SCHEME
    1. Membership conditions

Membership to The Originals Club Loyalty Scheme is free and open to anyone over the age of 18 who has the legal capacity to sign a contract within the meaning of the law of the member’s country of residence. 

Membership to The Originals Club Loyalty Scheme is free and takes the form of opening an online account and validating your e-mail address. You must have a valid individual e-mail address in order to join the scheme. One e-mail address cannot be used by several Members. The e-mail address acts as an identifier to access the loyalty account and benefits of the scheme. The loyalty account is nominative.

When joining the Scheme, the guest can choose whether or not to receive electronic communications related to the life of and services offered by the Scheme.

Members of the Scheme agree that it may be modified in whole or in part and at any time. Changes made that could substantially affect the rights and obligations of Members under the Scheme will be subject, within a reasonable period of time before their application, to informing Members, including by posting on theoriginalshotels.com website and/or by means of an electronic communication. Members are entitled to terminate their membership in accordance with Article 12.1. Any participation in the Scheme after the effective date of the changes will be deemed as acceptance by the Member. 

The Member must not communicate the password of his loyalty account to any third party, with the exception of the Customer Service or the Technical Service of the SA EUROPEENNE D’HÔTELLERIE group, in relation to access to his account for exceptional technical reasons. The Member acknowledges that he is responsible for any transaction made from or to his account.

    1. Membership terms

You can register in The Originals Club Loyalty Scheme:

  • Online, on theoriginalshotels.com website and on the booking engine of the group’s hotels websites;
  • During your stay in one of the group’s hotels;
  • By phone via the group’s Booking Centre.

The Guest must provide the necessary and mandatory information requested during his membership (first name, last name, valid e-mail address, telephone number, date of birth). The new Member must accept the General Terms and Conditions of Use of the Scheme either online or at the hotel, or by phone through the Booking Centre, depending on the membership terms. 

For all online memberships, the new Member will receive an e-mail to verify his e-mail address to activate his loyalty account.

For all memberships on site at the hotel or via the Booking Centre, the new Member will receive a password creation e-mail to activate his loyalty account.

From the creation and acceptance of the General Terms and Conditions of Use of The Originals Club Loyalty Scheme, the Member can benefit from all of the Scheme’s services: access to the various features of theoriginalshotels.com website (Access to the loyalty account, booking the stay, use of benefits, presentation of the loyalty scheme, etc.), recognition on theoriginalshotels.com website, the websites of member hotels and the Booking Centre of the SA EUROPEENNE D’HÔTELLERIE group.

During his membership to The Originals Club Loyalty Scheme, the Member can agree to receive all the communications relating to the Scheme.


  1. LOYALTY ACCOUNT

By using the loyalty account the Member can: 

  • View his points balance and transactions history
  • Be recognised on theoriginalshotels.com website and on the websites of the member hotels of the SA EUROPEENNE D’HÔTELLERIE group; 
  • Provide or update personal information, accommodation preferences, personal preferences and preferred types of destination; 
  • View the history of his bookings and modify, if necessary, his current bookings;
  • Subscribe to the group and The Originals Club Loyalty Scheme newsletters;
  • Access current special offers.

Any change in the information that may be necessary to contact the Member, such as first name, last name, postal address and/or telephone number (with the exception of the e-mail address), must be made by the Member directly in his loyalty account on the theoriginalshotels.com website or by contacting The Originals Club Service. To change e-mail address, the Member must contact The Originals Club Service.


  1. ACQUISITION OF POINTS

a. Terms and conditions of acquisitions of points

Points can only be acquired if the guest is identified as a Member when booking.

Points are awarded for each night spent at one of the group’s member hotels. The number of points awarded depends on the category of the hotel booked: 

  • 5000 points per night spent in a The Originals Collection hotel  
  • 4000 points per night spent in a The Originals Relais hotel
  • 4000 points per night spent in a The Originals Residence hotel  
  • 3000 points per night spent in a The Originals Boutique hotel
  • 3000 points per night spent in a The Originals City hotel  
  • 2000 points per night spent in a The Originals Access hotel  

Points are awarded automatically to the Member’s loyalty account, 72 hours after departure.

 

I. Channels and Rates

Eligible: Points apply only for any booking made on direct channels:

  • Through theoriginalshotels.com website;
  • Through the websites of the group’s member hotels
  • By phone directly to the group’s member hotels or to the group’s Booking Centre.

 

They are valid on the Displayed Rates (including special offers or promotions), the Commercial Packages Rates (applicable from Sunday to Thursday evening) and the Companies Unified Rates (excluding specific cases) under contract with SA EUROPEENNE D’HÔTELLERIE.

 

Ineligible: All bookings made with a tour operator, gift voucher companies, online travel agencies (such as Booking.com or Expedia) and traditional travel agencies using “GDS” software are excluded from bookings eligible for the awarding of points.

​​​​​​​II. Marketing operations

Welcome points: Any new registration in The Originals Club Loyalty Scheme entitles you to 1000 “welcome” points automatically credited to the new member’s loyalty account.

As part of occasional promotional operations, SA EUROPEENNE D’HÔTELLERIE may award a number of points higher than the previously mentioned scale, for each night spent in one of the group’s establishments, during the period and according to the conditions of the promotion.

​​​​​​​b. Validity of the points

Points do not have an expiry date, as long as the Member’s loyalty account is active. A loyalty account is considered active if the Member makes a booking or uses his points. Points are cancelled after 2 years of inactivity. A points expiry notification message is automatically sent to the Member 4 months before the points expire.

Each Member of The Originals Club Loyalty Scheme must personally ensure that the points he has earned are credited to his loyalty account. If the Member finds that his points have not been correctly credited within a minimum period of 4 days following his stay, he may claim them within 8 weeks of his stay. Any claim in this respect must be sent by e-mail to The Originals Club Service of the group at [email protected], with all the necessary supporting documents (booking confirmation and invoice for the stay). If the claim is justified, the points are then credited.

The points have no retroactive effect. They cannot be credited to the loyalty account of the Member, for stays prior to the creation date of the loyalty account (date of registration of information from the registration form in our computer system).

 


  1. BENEFITS & CONDITIONS OF USE OF THE POINTS

a. Use of Points & Benefit

Members of The Originals Club Loyalty Scheme may use their points*:

  • Online, to pay all or part of their booking, as a loyalty benefit
  • On site (at the hotel), the guest can:
    • At the check-out choose to use his points to pay all or part of his booking;
    • At the hotel reception, choose to redeem his points for “Loyalty Benefits**” to enjoy the hotel’s own amenities (such as breakfast, dinner, spa, bike ride, etc.), worth:
      • €10 for 8000 points
      • €20 for 16,000 points
      • €30 for 24,000 points
      • €40 for 32,000 points
      • €50 for 40,000 points
    • Redeem points for a bottle of Moët & Chandon champagne (in a case), worth 20,000 points.

“Special Member” rate: Members of The Originals Club Loyalty Scheme can benefit from a “special member” rate, applicable to the daily rate and/or special offers and the conditions of the rate on which it applies. This “special member” rate is available on theoriginalshotels.com website, on the websites of the member hotels and by telephone via the Booking Centre.

Members can view the benefits of The Originals Club Loyalty Scheme at theoriginalshotels.com, on the www.theoriginalshotels.com/fidelite page.

*Points have a monetary value corresponding to the currency of the hotel.

**“Loyalty Benefits” are displayed inclusive of taxes.

​​​​​​​b. Terms and conditions of use of the points

In the Member’s loyalty account, a minimum balance of 8,000 points available is required to receive the following benefits:

  • Partial or full payment of the booking;
  • Enjoy a loyalty benefit of €10 or more (to use to benefit from services at the hotel).

The benefits of The Originals Club Loyalty Scheme can be accumulated within the limit of the number of points available in the Member’s loyalty account, at the time the benefits are redeemed.

The points cannot be bequeathed, assigned, donated or even combined between two completely different members (first name, last name, postal address, e-mail address, date of birth, telephone number, etc.).

​​​​​​​c. In the event of modification, cancellation or no-show of the Member at the hotel

  • Changing booking:

In the event of a request to change a booking, it must first be cancelled and carried out again with the desired accommodation services.

    • If the cancellation of the booking to be changed and the creation of a new booking are done before the check-in, then:
      • The number of points that will be awarded for this new booking are automatically recalculated by the system;
      • If the points are used to pay all or part of the booking to be changed, following the cancellation of it, the points used are re-credited to the Member’s account 72 hours after the cancellation.

 

    • If the procedure to change a booking, that is to say the cancellation of the said booking and the creation of a new one, is carried out after the check-out, then the number of points to be allocated for this new booking will have to be credited manually to the Member’s account, by the group’s The Originals Club Service or by the member hotel where the stay occurred.
  • Cancellation or No-show at the hotel:
    • Points will not be credited to the Member’s loyalty account;
    • The points used to pay all or part of the booking, will be re-credited to the Member’s loyalty account, 72 hours after check-out.

Any booking made with points requires a request for a bank guarantee, in particular in case of cancellation or no-show of the Member at the hotel. If the bank details provided by the Member as a guarantee prove to be invalid, SA EUROPEENNE D’HÔTELLERIE is entitled to keep the points used or debit them from the Member’s account.


  1. PROTECTION OF PERSONAL DATA

The data collected during registration or during the period of membership in The Originals Club Loyalty Scheme are processed by SA EUROPEENNE D’HÔTELLERIE, the data controller, whose head office is located at 22 Rue Maurice Grimaud - 75018 - Paris, France, for the purposes of executing the terms and conditions of the scheme and, on the basis of legitimate interest, for the purposes of its marketing activities (including targeted marketing campaigns).

Pursuant to the provisions of the French Data Protection Act of 6 January 1978, the Member has a right to access, modify, rectify and delete information about him, by writing to [email protected]


The Member is responsible for updating the information in his loyalty account, either by modifying his loyalty account himself (access from theoriginalshotels.com website with his login details), or by contacting the Booking Centre of the SA EUROPEENNE D’HÔTELLERIE group or by contacting The Originals Club Service of said group.

 


  1. INFORMATION AND CLAIMS

The Member can see all the information related to his membership in the Scheme (including his points balance, the history of his transactions, bookings, personal details, accommodation preferences, etc.) on theoriginalshotels.com website, in his loyalty account. The Member may at any time request a reset of his login credentials, either via theoriginalshotels.com website, or by contacting the Booking Centre at 08 26 10 39 09 or the group’s The Originals Club Service at [email protected]

From his loyalty account, the Member may choose to subscribe to the marketing communications of the SA EUROPEENNE D’HÔTELLERIE group and those of The Originals Club Loyalty Scheme. If the Member no longer wishes to receive marketing communications by e-mail, he may unsubscribe at any time from marketing communications by clicking on the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the communication or via his account. This unsubscribing has no effect on his membership. 

The Member may at any time request termination of his membership in The Originals Club Loyalty Scheme. Any request for termination of membership in the Scheme must be made by e-mail to The Originals Club Service at [email protected] or by telephone by contacting the Booking Centre on 08 26 10 39 09. In the event of termination of membership, the end of membership implies:

  • A complete withdrawal of the Member from the Scheme by closing the Member’s loyalty account; the cancellation of accumulated points; the end of access to Scheme Benefits
  • The definitive end of all communication between the Member and the Group in the context of The Originals Club Loyalty Scheme.

Any inquiries or claims regarding The Originals Club Loyalty Scheme, should be directed to The Originals Club by e-mail at [email protected], or by telephone by contacting the Booking Centre on 08 26 10 39 09, within a maximum period of 2 months from the date of the service in question. The Member will then be asked to provide his The Originals Club Loyalty ID (e-mail address) and possibly provide the necessary supporting documents (booking confirmation and invoice for the stay).


  1. INFORMATION FOR FORMER MEMBERS OF THE ACCENT CARD LOYALTY SCHEME

a. Transfer od date grom the former Accent Card loyalty account

The loyalty account data of former Accent Card Loyalty Scheme Members will be automatically transferred by SA EUROPEENNE D’HÔTELLERIE to The Originals Club Loyalty Scheme’s computer system.

Loyalty scheme data transferred from the former Accent Card Loyalty Scheme Member refers to:

  • Last name
  • First name
  • Title
  • E-mail address
  • Date of birth
  • Telephone number
  • Postal address (address 1 & 2, post code, town, country)
  • Language
  • Acceptance status of marketing communications
  • Points balance*
  • Validity of the points
  • Creation date of the account under the Accent Card Loyalty Scheme 

After transfer of the data of the former Member of the Accent Card Loyalty Scheme, a welcome and password creation e-mail will be sent automatically, to validate the activation of his loyalty account under The Originals Club Loyalty Scheme and access his new loyalty account.

*The number of points from the former Accent Card Loyalty Scheme account will be converted in compliance with that of The Originals Club Loyalty Scheme (1 Accent point = 1000 The Originals Club points)

b. €50 and €120 cards

The €50 and €120 gift cards are not valid in The Originals Club Loyalty Scheme and their use will not be accepted by member hotels and participants in The Originals Club Loyalty Scheme.

All former members of the Accent Card Loyalty Scheme who have in their possession €50 and €120 gift cards, unused and valid, will be credited on their The Originals Club loyalty account, the value of the card in points* (converted in accordance with The Originals Club Loyalty Scheme’s coefficient) and will have to destroy the card(s) in their possession.

*€50 card, 40 Accent points = 40,000 points credited to the loyalty account of The Originals Club Loyalty Scheme

€120 card, 100 Accent points = 100,000 points credited to the loyalty account of The Originals Club Loyalty Scheme
