Services, peace and proximity to Annecy. A friendly team and "home-cooked" cuisine. Welcome to Joël Abauzit’s hotel.
"To host and create loyalty through my welcome and the hotel's quality."
With the Aravis massif as a backdrop and the companies implanted in the Longeray business park as neighbours, The Originals City, Hotel Annecy Airport's façade - covered in long wooden balconies - gives it a bit of a flowery chalet feel. Joël, the hotel manager, insists: "it is not the façade that makes the hotel." Indeed, it's not overly modern but the services offered are worthy of this practical and urban 3 star located at Metz-Tessy. The 48 rooms have been recently renovated, the restaurant serves a traditional and regional cuisine with an emphasis on home-made dishes, the parking is extensive and the large trees planted in front of the hotel protect it from traffic noise. But, according to Joël, the hotel's main asset is "an attractive price positioning at Annecy's doorstep".
Whether standard, comfort or superior, The Originals City, Hotel Annecy Airport's 48 air-conditioned rooms have recently been updated. Neutral hues and practical furnishings: don't look for originality here, they are all decorated alike. Their sometimes small surface area does not take anything away from the level of comfort and services offered. Families will benefit from adjoining rooms and those with reduced mobility will receive accommodations on the ground floor.

For a good start to your day, enjoy the breakfast buffet served in the dinning-room or on the terrace. A treat for both the taste buds and the eyes, there is a large selection of sweet and savoury products including some organic and/or local ones like the yoghurt made at the neighbouring farm just 3 minute away. For lunch and dinner, take a seat in the restaurant's dinning-room where you will enjoy a traditional and regional cuisine. For a convivial interlude or a relaxing break, you can settle at the hotel's bar.
The Haute-Savoie is a department that offers life-size experiences both in summer and winter. The Originals City, Hotel Annecy Airport is an ideal stopover when heading to Annecy and its wonderful lake.
ANNECYIt is called the Venice of the Alps. While its lake grabs the spotlight, the city of Annecy is not left out with its canals that criss-cross the old town and its old buildings, each recounting its own particular moment in history, from the l’Île au château perched on its rock to the arcades of the rue Sainte-Claire. Whether its a bicycle ride along the canals, lounging on the terraces or savouring the generous cuisine, the city genuinely invites you to relax and getaway.
THINGS TO DOThe turquoise waters of its lake are a true invitation to relaxation but here, one gets itchy feet: a flight above the lake, paragliding, via ferrata, hiking, mountaineering, bicycle tourism, golf, rope courses but also wake boarding, water skiing, fishing, cruising... No time to get bored, you have to get moving!
THINGS TO SEE NEARBYAmateurs of hauberks and other medieval fortresses will appreciate Menthon Saint-Bernard and its 12th century castle overlooking the lake or yet again the Montrottier castle; the Gorges du Fier will enthral young and old in search of adventure at the heart of a narrow canyon where one progresses along a footbridge attached to the rock face 25 meters above the river; the Secret Gardens of Vaulx is a flowery haven of peace surrounded by architectural elements from all corners of the world and received the "Jardin remarquable" label in 2018.
Located about 10 minutes north of Annecy, The Originals City, Hotel Annecy Airport is easily accessible by car, by bus or even by bicycle using the bike path that connects the Venice of the Alps with Metz-Tessy. Here you will find a 60 m2 room, fully equipped and enjoying natural sunlight; it can sit up to 40 people. For a seminar, meeting, work session, show-room or professional gathering, The Originals City, Hotel Annecy Airport's entire team is there to listen to you and organise a custom-designed event.
