WALKS IN BERCK-SUR-MERBerck-sur-Mer is a renowned seaside resort. The city is also known for the high concentration of iodine in the air. Berck is appreciated for its vast, fine sand beach that extends over a dozen kilometres to reach the mouth of the Canche river. Stroll up to the lighthouse, on the side of the maritime hospital, which peaks at 40 metres. And take the Debeyre path along the coastline towards the south to reach the Madelon harbour and the Authie bay where you'll admire a seal colony.
SAINT-OMER AND SURROUNDINGSWander through the quiet streets of Saint-Omer lined with private mansions adorned with pilasters. Admire its Notre-Dame cathedral, the region's most beautiful religious edifice. Take a walk around Saint-Omer's Faubourg nord, Vanquai square, along the Salines and Commerce docks: the low Flemish houses are reflected on the river's surface. Nearby, flat-bottomed boats still travel across the Audomarois marsh and can be visited.
THE BAY OF SOMMEThe Bay of Somme is located only 40 minutes from the hotel. Classified as a Grand Site de France, the Bay of Somme (which covers 37,900 hectares), contains remarkable natural and cultural riches. From Fort-Mahon to Hourdel, you will enjoy Marquenterre's ornithological park, discover the Crotoy and its sand yachts and finally the charming little harbour of Saint-Valéry-sur-Somme. The range of possible activities is limitless in this bay with reveals, at times, an otherworldly light.
A lovely and perfectly equipped meeting room, overlooking the sea and the beach, is located on the hotel's 4th floor.
