Nature in a quiet and friendly setting. Welcome to Camille and Charles Salaud’s hotel.
“Personalised hospitality and services. Our establishment is like a big guesthouse, we do everything to make you feel good.”
Charles and Camille bought the Domaine Le Martinet, The Originals Relais in 2008. Both were already experienced in the world of hospitality and wanted to restore the pedigree of one of Bouin’s most beautiful residences, set in the heart of the Breton marsh in the Vendée. “Our guests like being welcomed by the owners, they like to know our establishment and the story of our establishment. So let’s take a look back. In 2010, Charles and Camille took on the ambitious project of modernising the premises, renovating it while keeping the spirit of the old 18th-century residence. On the ground floor old tiles and wooden and marble panelling have been preserved as well as the monumental stone staircase dating from the 16th century. Today the 3-star hotel, situated in Pays de la Loire, with 15 peaceful rooms is a subtle blend of old and new, for a gentle way of life beneath the Vendée sky and a wonderful break in a green setting. Some have said “we don’t really want to tell people about the Domaine Le Martinet, The Originals Relais because we want to keep it for ourselves! ”
Domaine Le Martinet, The Originals Relais 15 rooms offer modern comfort and traditional charm, either in the main building or in one of the small Vendée style houses facing the garden. The spacious rooms (between 12 and 29m2) are good for individuals, couples or families in a welcoming atmosphere, carefully designed and colourful for great nights beneath the Vendée sky.

What our customers say
"Excellent hotel and location"
Loved the quiet and beautiful place, a refuge of green and birds in the middle of a small town, next to a must-see unexpected church. The service, treatment and cleanliness of the place was excellent, breakfast in the terrace across an ancient olive tree was great, dinner at their restaurant was very good, room was clean, comfortable and spacious. It is very convenient that the hotel has its own parking space for guests. There are walking and bicycle paths from the town to the coast and the salt marshes. If you have a car, of course you can explore the famous island of Noirmoutiers.
