Originally aiming for a career in the restaurant industry, Sylvain naturally found his way into hospitality. A profession that captivated him with its diverse range of tasks. “I love creating and developing products: imagining new rooms, new spaces, constantly seeking answers to evolving guest expectations.” Since 2014, Sylvain has been the director of The Originals Boutique, Le Marmotel, a 3-star, 93-room hotel in Clermont-Ferrand, where he has continuously launched new projects to enhance the property. First came the opening of the restaurant, Le Petit Marché, followed by the creation of a terrace, a fitness room, and the rooftop designed as a relaxing spot for reading, with stunning views of the Puy-de-Dôme. What does Sylvain enjoy most about his job? “The human aspect. It almost got lost with the rise of technology, but hospitality, smiles, and advice have brought it back to the heart of everything we do.”

OLD CLERMONT
