Classed as one of the 20 most beautiful beaches in the world, Morgat (pronounced Morgatte) unfolds its long crescent of sand bordered by pine trees along the Iroise Sea. A peaceful place, in a sheltered bay where you can stroll as well as enjoy many water sports.
With its appearance of the end of the world, the tip of Pen Hir is one of the must-see places of the Crozon Peninsula. From the top of its jagged cliffs which plunge 70 m into the often tumultuous waves, the point offers a sublime panorama on the famous rocks of the Tas de Pois: Pen Glas (the "Green Head"), Ar Forc'h (the "Fork"), Bern Id (the "Cereal heap").
Destined to defend the roadstead of Brest, this 18 m. high square tower is characterized by its pretty golden pink color. Today, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site (the only one in Brittany!) and has a singular history. Still under construction, the tower was attacked in 1694 by English troops that the French crushed under the eye of the great Vauban then present. This glorious victory earned Camaret the title of "Guardian of the Armorican coastline".
The walkers know it under the name of GR 34. This coastal path stretching all around the Presqu'île reveals all its charms: short and multicolored moor, steep cliffs, ruffled dunes, gentle slopes, blue lagoon, brown peat, mauve heather, bright white rocks...
