Calm and tranquillity. Authenticity and elegance. The charms of the Manche region and the Cotentin Peninsula. Welcome to Christelle Turpin's hotel.
“Here, we focus on the individual, offering authenticity and a warm welcome.”
Christelle and her husband welcome guests to their chateau straight out of the sixteenth century in the heart of the Normandy countryside. The Le Château de la Roque, The Originals Relais is tucked away in a huge 14 hectare wooded park and encourages guests to relax and recharge a stone’s throw from Saint-Lô and the Regional Nature Park of Cotentin and Bessin Marshes. This chateau built during the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries is now an elegant, comfortable and authentic 3-star hotel with 20 bedrooms. Christelle keeps a watchful eye on proceedings: “My priorities are cleanliness, providing a warm welcome and offering premium service,” she explains. This hotel with its guesthouse-style restaurant is the ideal base for exploring this beautiful region.
The 20 bedrooms and suites at the Le Château de la Roque, The Originals Relais can sleep between one to five people in comfort. Some are specially equipped for mobility-impaired guests. The traditional rooms and suites have a timeless elegance and take you back in time, yet are also modern and come with everything you could need for a wonderful stay. These modern touches take nothing away from the accommodation’s wonderful charm...
This 3-star hotel has its own restaurant which serves evening meals on request. To get the day off to a good start, Christelle provides a generous buffet breakfast in a beautiful cosy room with a magnificent fireplace.
The hotel is ideally located in Hébécrevon in the Manche region near Saint-Lô, making it a great base from which to explore a range of local tourist sites.
RELAXATION AND WELLNESS AT THE HOTEL
The hotel is the perfect place to relax and recharge. As well as the 14-hectare park, it has a wonderful spa and wellness area with chromotherapy, massager, relaxation room, hammam and Jacuzzi. You can also book wellness and beauty treatments.
VISITING MONT-SAINT-MICHELMont-Saint-Michel is just 44 minutes from the hotel. This rocky island is home to a superb gothic cathedral and a small village. Legend has it that the archangel Michael appeared in 709 to Aubert, Bishop of Avranches, and told him to build a church on the island. In medieval times, Mont-Saint-Michel was one of the most popular destinations for religious pilgrims. From the ramparts you can watch the impressive tides which sweep through the bay.
D-DAY BEACHESThe Côte de Nacre boasts beautiful sandy beaches and lands, museums, memorials and military cemeteries imbued with a wealth of history: this was where the 1944 Normandy landings, the biggest military operation of all time, took place. Don’t miss: Pointe du Hoc promontory, Utah Beach and its D-Day museum, Omaha Beach and the American military cemetery at Colleville-sur-Mer.
What our customers say
"One night in delightful setting"
After a 10 hour drive it was quite something to drive down that amazing avenue of trees and pull up outside a quite remarkable hotel. Fantastic room and the perfect way to end a lovely holiday
"Charming Chateau with Excellent Service!"
We are a family of four with two children, ages 11 and 13. Our stay at Chateau de la Roque was excellent. Rooms were well equipped and very comfortable (loved the towel warmer in the bathroom!), and meals were exceptional. Christelle was wonderful and very attentive to our needs. We hope to return soon!
"Warm hospitality, very generous and welcoming"
We cam to the hotel as a last-minute order. The welcome we received was very personal. We were very satisfied with the accommodation. The place has a large garden and park to walk around. Everything is peaceful and quiet. Breakfast was full, nothing was missing out.
