"Elegance and charm, nature and calm, great flavours and great taste." All the sweetness of Normandy. Welcome to the Quinton and Lebailly families' hotel.
"These families will welcome you to their own home. And you’re sure to be satisfied thanks to the quality welcome, beautiful decor, flavoursome food and irreproachable service."
We tell a different story every day, the Quintons and Lebaillys explain. This authentic hunting lodge situated in Normandy close to the Grand Domaine de Bagnoles-de-l'Orne is straight out of an adventure book. A sensory adventure for its guests thanks, in particular, to a Michelin-starred restaurant. The Hotel Le Manoir du Lys, The Originals Relais, with its 23 rooms and 7 suites, not to mention its magnificent swimming pool, is a charming 4-star hotel in Lower Normandy dedicated to relaxation and well-being. A haven of peace nestled in the heart of a large estate, where life is lived at a gentle pace, presided over by the Quinton and Lebailly families.
The decoration was dreamt up by Yvon Lebailly, who’s also chef sommelier. Every room is different, but they’re all inspired by the surrounding nature. The 23 rooms - attic, duplex or ultra-contemporary - have a unique atmosphere combining tradition and modernity. "We want to offer our guests a unique experience, really allowing them to get away from it all," explain the owners. There are also 7 apartments with their own terraces, raised on stilts at the edge of the forest. These bucolic living spaces can accommodate 2 to 5 people in absolute comfort.

The Hotel Le Manoir du Lys, The Originals Relais is home to a Michelin-starred restaurant, considered one of the best gastronomic venues in the region. It's presided over by Franck Quinton, an imaginative and passionate chef. The hotel also invites you to enjoy memorable moments of relaxation at Bar d'Aldo, an elegant club-style lounge. And, to start the day, Franck offers a breakfast served on the terrace when the climate is right. "Everything is homemade: pastries, special breads, jams, cakes... all based on local products," explains Franck.

A JOURNEY OF FLAVOURSFranck, the chef, and Yvon, the sommelier, invite you to discover their culinary and oenological secrets. Franck will accompany you on a veritable foodie immersion, producing a full menu orchestrated around a basket of seasonal products selected from the market. Yvon, meanwhile, offers you a voyage of discovery through wine appellations and estates, with guided tasting and analysis. Exciting and delicious!
MUSHROOM DAYSet off to find out all about mushrooms in a beautiful forest. Your “mushroom day” begins with a visit to Bagnoles-de-l'Orne market. Next, a little theory with a cooking class delivered by Michelin-starred chef Franck Quinton. An autumn recipe, for example, inspired by the mushrooms of Andaine forest. A lunchtime tasting is a must. Then head for the Andaine forest for a mushroom excursion - a mycologist will tell you everything there is to know about the different species collected.
FAIRY-TALE PICNICSet off to explore Andaine forest accompanied by a guide who will explain everything there is to know about this protected natural area: wild grasses, trees, legends, mushrooms, birds. When you start to feel hungry, you’ll stumble across a table set up for lunch at the bend of a path. Checked tablecloths, green plates, silver cutlery, candle holders, wicker basket: a fairy-tale picnic at the heart of the forest. Magic!
Chef Franck Quinton invites you to the heart of his kitchen, where you’ll witness a dinnertime spectacular! A seasonal menu according to the chef’s inspirations and a selection of wines chosen by our sommelier Yvon Lebailly (paired with each dish). Must be booked in advance, depending on restaurant demand.

A very pleasant and restful stay best to stay for at least two nights to get the best they have to offer.
A great location and the hotel could be great with a few tweaks...
"Comfort and quality"
The nice thing about this hotel is that it gives you a relaxed feeling the moment you arrive. The staff are friendly and helpful and the accommodation is very comfortable. After a long trip this is very important. To end the day by dining in the restaurant is a real joy. The food is superb and very well presented. Complimented by an excellent wine list and a refined atmosphere it makes a stay at this hotel quite memorable.
"Lovely hotel in peaceful location"
This was our third visit to this hotel. It is very comfortable and clean. The staff are all very helpful and pleasant in particular the head waitress at breakfast and the head waiter in the restaurant. Our room was spacious and nicely decorated with very little noise from adjoining bedrooms. We throughly enjoyed our evening meal in the restaurant and breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. We would recommend this hotel.
My wife and I have stayed at this lovely hotel on many occasions and we have never been disappointed in the quality of the room the wonderful service or the fabulous food and wine that separates this peaceful establishment from many others we have enjoyed since moving to France from Los Angeles five years ago. Anyone traveling across this beautiful country should make it a point to spend a night or two right here!
The Hotel Le Manoir du Lys, The Originals Relais offers 5 contemporary and fully equipped meeting rooms in a green haven, all benefiting from natural light and wifi access.
