With authenticity, warmth and friendliness, this place is the very essence of Limoges charm. Welcome to Sylvie and Christophe Vincent's place.
"We wanted to be independent and work as a couple. We also like meeting people. Taking charge of this hotel came naturally to us."
Sylvie and Christophe had a dream: to work together, have their freedom and own a place focused on hospitality. This project took place in Limoges, in a quiet road a short distance from the city centre. The Originals City, Hotel le Saint-Martial, Limoges was born. Sylvie and Christophe have transformed, revived, enhanced and crafted it to reflect their own personalities. This elegant 3-star hotel is particularly welcoming. "Above all, we like meeting people and serving and pleasing our customers," the couple tell us. The 29 rooms are perfectly suited to long and short stays, for both tourists and business guests. There is comfort throughout. Sylvie, Christophe and their team bring the friendly touch that makes this hotel even more appealing.
The 29 rooms are decked out in a warm, colourful and contemporary style. With a surface area of between 14 and 22 m2, they can comfortably accommodate one to five people. All are completely soundproofed and some are air-conditioned like this 32 m2 family suite with private lounge. "The old building has character but we've blended this style with a more modern ambiance without compromising on the authenticity of this warm establishment," say Sylvie and Christophe.

EXPLORING LIMOGESLimoges is best known for being the capital of porcelain. It's also home to other wonders, such as the episcopal city around the cathedral. Visitors can also explore the upper city, the lively shopping district in the former Château des Vicomtes quarter, built on the neighbouring slope around Saint-Martial abbey. With its student population, Limoges is full of energy and attractive stores which unfurl along the streets and the built-up banks of the Vienne – a great place to wander.
WANDER AROUND VASSIVIERE LAKEOne hour from Limoges, Beaumont-du-Lac is home to the wonderful Vassivière Lake. In the centre of this 1000-hectare artificial lake, Vassivière Island plays host to the International Art and Landscape Centre. It's accessible on foot or via the little train. The walk over the bridge offers views of both sides of the lake. All in an idyllic wooded hill setting. A walking trail accessible to mountain bikers follows the banks of the lake.
THE PORCELAIN TOURSHaute-Vienne Tourisme has come up with the 'Limoges Porcelain Tours in Haute-Vienne'. They take in 22 sites portraying the diversity and history of porcelain. If you like porcelain, you'll have the opportunity to visit the old Marcognac kaolin quarry, the Casseaux oven, the National Adrien-Dubouché Museum, the Lachaniette Conservatory of Art and Techniques, the Haviland Museum and more. Other options include visits to companies and factory outlets (Bernardaud, Carpenet, Jacques Pergay, La Vie en Rose, Haviland, Raynaud, Medard de Noblat, Coquet), artisans and painters, etc.
What our customers say
"A great budget hotel"
We arrived in Limoges not having booked a hotel and found this great hotel. Not knowing about parking we booked to stay in their garage. The hotel informed us that there was free parking on the roads around the hotel so didn’t need to pay for their parking.
The room was clean en modern. The people were very helpful. I recommend this hotel to everyone who is staying for one day or couple of days.
