An ideal location, a friendly team and a historic setting. Welcome to Lorraine!
"A smiley team, with everyone striving to give you the best stay possible."
Manager Eric took up the reins of this central Nancy hotel in June 2014. A month and a half later, the dilapidated building began its redevelopment phase. "We broke everything down to start from scratch," recalls the hotelier who, with his team, managed the mean feat of keeping the establishment open. It took months of work to combine modern comfort with the architectural finery of this 1930s sleeping beauty. The facade, lift, staircase and stained-glass windows were preserved and 38 rooms created, giving natural light pride of place. 82 years after its creation, The Originals City, Hotel Nancy Centre Train Station added a third star to its historic facade. "It’s now a real pleasure for us to receive our guests in the best possible conditions and offer them quality services in an elegant and characterful setting."
The Originals City, Hotel Nancy Centre Train Station's 38 rooms have been renovated in a tasteful and understated style, maintaining the pure, straight lines of the Art Deco style, in keeping with the time of the establishment’s construction. They’re bright, comfortable, functional and often very spacious, with those in the corners offering pleasant views of the city. The rooms on the ground floor, for families and people with reduced mobility, maintain their original stained-glass windows, discovered during the renovation works, with asymmetrical, translucent and emerald green designs.

When you go down into the basement for breakfast, you won’t see anything to suggest that you’re in the hotel catacombs where, during the second world war, the Est Républicain newspaper set up its illegal printing press. The rotary machines have now been replaced by tables and chairs, and the printing boards by a sweet and savoury buffet. Should you require ideas for lunch or dinner, Eric and his team will be glad to share their recommendations for traditional restaurants, plus classic and gourmet brasseries.
Nancy is an active and attractive city. Rich in historical, architectural and cultural heritage, it has a thousand facets to discover, reflecting the Meurthe-et-Moselle département itself.
NANCYNancy is known for its Place Stanislas, a square that features on the UNESCO world heritage list, as well as its bergamots, mirabelle plums, rum baba, quiche and Lorraine pâté. The capital of the Duchy of Lorraine is also that of Art Nouveau, with the Ecole de Nancy and its enchanting garden, Museum of Fine Arts, 23 parks and gardens and its Pépinière nursery - a green paradise.
Toul, with its fortifications by Vauban and the verdant Hill of Sion; Vannes-le-Châtel and its glass-blowing demonstrations by the Compagnie des Verriers; Luneville with its splendid castle and French gardens; Pont-à-Mousson, the discretion of which is inversely proportional to its international fame in the iron and steel industry...
