A friendly team, aesthetically contrasting decor, a perfect location... Yannick Bouchard looks forward to welcoming you.
“A part of Nice’s soul can be found here. A perfect imperfection which is found in our characters, our city, this hotel, all unique.”
A stone’s throw from Nice’s Modern and Contemporary Art Museum, Yannicks welcomes you to The Originals Boutique, Hotel Le Seize, Nice Centre hotel featuring Nice artists. Pupils from the MJM Graphic Design school have given a very dynamic feel to this 3-star hotel’s 34 rooms, corridors, stairways and breakfast room with pop culture and street art paintings. “I love the unique character of this place,” explains Yannick. “By that I mean the contrast between the modernity of the interior decor and the building from the Belle Epoque.” A big contrast, a bit like the hotel owner’s own career path, a chef by training, he hung up his oven gloves to take over running his hotel in the city Old Town and make the best of his guests holidays in Nice. “The human contact makes it so much more enjoyable!” A charming place, lovely people, this Nice establishment is delightful.
The 34 rooms at The Originals Boutique, Hotel Le Seize, Nice Centre, with their warm and uncluttered contemporary style and auburn shaded panelling and materials, are livened up by examples of pop culture or street art. Meanwhile they are all served by the antique lift. You need to make sure to always close the door of this beautiful 100-year-old machine so as not to deprive other guests of the very practical service (especially when on the 3rd floor).
- Non smoking room
- Air-conditioned room
A generous continental-style buffet breakfast is served every morning from 7 to 10 AM. The large mirrors covering a whole section of the wall and paintings by the pupils from the MJM Graphic Design school, in red-blue-green reminiscent of stained-glass windows, make it a wonderfully pleasant room. The Originals Boutique, Hotel Le Seize, Nice Centre does not have a restaurant but Yannick has his address book at hand: typical Nice cuisine, modern brasserie, sophisticated Italian cuisine, trendy restaurant...
According to Yannick the best experience in the City of Angels is: “Eating ‘socca’, the local dish in the old town, at Chez René Socca with a piece of pissaladière (Provençal pizza with onions, anchovy fillets and olives) and a glass of Muscadet or Prosecco.” Although many other experiences also await you. Much to explore.
WHAT TO SEE IN NICEThe Promenade des Anglais, the old town, the beaches (if you like pebbles), Castle Hill (for the view), the Russian Orthodox cathedral, the coastal path (you can go as far as Villefrance-sur-Mer on foot, along the coast 90% of the way), Phoenix park for its biodiversity (botanical and zoological gardens), not to mention the many cultural sites (museums, opera, etc.) or fun places (casinos) in the City of Angels.
THEME PARKIf you are on a family trip, you must visit Marineland park, about 20 kilometres away (Antibes). The famous theme park constantly refreshes its dolphin, killer whale and sea lion shows. Just by Marineland park you can also find Aquasplash, the Far West farm, Adventure Golf and a fairground (open weekends off-season and every day in summer).
NATURAL SITEIf you want to experience some nature and get some fresh air, head to Mercantour National Park (about 50km away). With peaks over 3,000m, multiple glacial lakes and six very distinctive valleys, just one hour from the sea, the park is a unique gem of preserved nature.
What our customers say
"Very kind personell"
We had some problems with noice from ventliation first night and talked to the reception about it and they arranged another room for us within less than hour. Very good service.
Great location, aircon, super clean. Only thing is the bed could have been better.
"Nice boutique hotel in Nice"
This hotel is in a great location - close to beach/old town and convention center. Staff were nice and helpful and rooms clean. Downside was hearing street noise in the wee hours of the night. A good value for the cost.
"Good experience "
Very well located and walking distance from everything. Room was very large and spacious. Check in and checkout experience was very good and flawless. However carpet was very dated. My TV did not have color for some reason. Mind you I didn5 get a chance to let them know. It is a very noisy spot and i think there is a night club. My window seal was not good so for someone that is a light sleeper it may be bad.
Very good bed, extremly comfortable. Nice personel. Breakfast OK. Nice personel at the breakfast room. Room and bath size is OK. I'm very glad booking a superior room. Over all it's OK for a 3 Star Hotel. Special bonus for the escalator. I' loved this thing.
It was nice staying at your Hotel. The staff and service was good. Although we experienced some difficulty with lift, but it can be understood at this location. The internet wifi connection was poor too (after first day), that was frustrating and should be improved.
"Great basic hotel"
Excellent location, very clean, good functional air con, friendly staff. Basic room but just what I wanted for a few days stay.
"Very good hotel"
You have an amazing hotel, my room was completely clean, just sterile. No traces of stay past guests. Kettle, refrigerator, and even tea and coffee was presented. The only minus it soundproofing, she is no quite. Heard all neighbors. But you well done, thanks for the wonderful weekend.
Good Hotel with walking distance to the beach and very good staff.
"Five sunny days in Nice"
