A stone’s throw from the hotel is Le Marais district, Place des Vosges, Rue des Francs-Bourgeois, the Soubise, Salé and Rohan hotels which take you on a real trip back in time. Wandering around these streets will take you back to the 17th and 18th centuries, to the time of absolute monarchy and the Enlightenment. It is a wonderfully lively district featuring designer shops, art galleries, restaurants and markets.

CANAL SAINT-MARTIN

Just a few hundred metres from the hotel, Canal Saint-Martin is worth a visit. With its footbridges, nine locks and rows of trees, its water level which sometimes rises over the embankment, the canal is an extremely charming site. A nostalgic walk will take you along the quais of Jemmapes and Valmy, from the large basin of La Villette to Square Frédérick-Lemaître. At this point the canal disappears underground and only reappears at Arsenal marina.
