Located on the right bank of the river, near to Le Marais, between the 3rd and 10th arrondissements of Paris, the hotel provides easy access to the capital’s charms.
LE MARAISA stone’s throw from the hotel is Le Marais district, Place des Vosges, Rue des Francs-Bourgeois, the Soubise, Salé and Rohan hotels which take you on a real trip back in time. Wandering around these streets will take you back to the 17th and 18th centuries, to the time of absolute monarchy and the Enlightenment. It is a wonderfully lively district featuring designer shops, art galleries, restaurants and markets.
CANAL SAINT-MARTINJust a few hundred metres from the hotel, Canal Saint-Martin is worth a visit. With its footbridges, nine locks and rows of trees, its water level which sometimes rises over the embankment, the canal is an extremely charming site. A nostalgic walk will take you along the quais of Jemmapes and Valmy, from the large basin of La Villette to Square Frédérick-Lemaître. At this point the canal disappears underground and only reappears at Arsenal marina.
ÎLE DE LA CITÉOn your way to the east bank, stop off at Île de la Cité, the historic heart of Paris. It has two of Paris’ biggest monuments: Notre Dame Cathedral and Sainte-Chapelle royal chapel, not to mention the Conciergerie. Visitors also come for the charm of Place Dauphine, the freshness of the flower market and its ‘insular spirit’. Nine bridges connect it to the banks of the Seine.
THINGS TO DO NEARBYClose to public transport, it is a perfect opportunity to do a shopping tour of the Grands Magasins (Printemps and Galeries Lafayette) as well as exploring the Grands Boulevards and its theatres.
What our customers say
"Overall, nice stay"
Somewhat older hotel, not 'sterile' like many newer places, has character. Room was as described, a bit too close to a noisy elevator though. View was of a busy street, but quiet though. A bargain for a well located Paris hotel. Metro stop Republique was just outside the front door (look for sortie 5 from within the station). I would book again.
Thank you for kindly hosting
This was our second stay at the hotel, and it was even better than the first time! We enjoyed our room, we enjoyed the hotel, we loved breakfast, and the location was great! Thank you to all of the staff especially Ammitts at the front desk! Should we return to Paris in the near future, we will definitely stay there!
