“This is a wonderful Haussmann building from 1880, with typically Parisian elegance,” explains Cheref who runs this elegant 3-star hotel in Place de la République. The Originals City, Hôtel Paix République, Paris, in a symbolic location of the capital, Place de la République, has a reception hall featuring marble, leather and wood panelling, as well as a large air-conditioned lounge in bright tones which makes a nice place to relax. In November 2021 went to Paris with mij 2 sons, especially choose for this hotel (location and appearance) My son and I want to visit Paris again and my daughter want to see Paris also. So booked the same hotel and nearly same room to exprecience the super friendly staff, strategic location at the metro station. Also this time we enjoyed the city and the hotel. After a good night's rest, we are back on the road in beautiful Paris. The room was cozy and warm, breakfast was good, helpful staff. We left the city behind with a satisfied feeling, until next time!

"Nice place but strange experience "

During the second night in the middle of the night 3 people came into my room with a key card . That gave me a very unsafe feeling and destroyed my night

LE MARAIS

A stone’s throw from the hotel is Le Marais district, Place des Vosges, Rue des Francs-Bourgeois, the Soubise, Salé and Rohan hotels which take you on a real trip back in time. Wandering around these streets will take you back to the 17th and 18th centuries, to the time of absolute monarchy and the Enlightenment. It is a wonderfully lively district featuring designer shops, art galleries, restaurants and markets.

CANAL SAINT-MARTIN

Just a few hundred metres from the hotel, Canal Saint-Martin is worth a visit. With its footbridges, nine locks and rows of trees, its water level which sometimes rises over the embankment, the canal is an extremely charming site. A nostalgic walk will take you along the quais of Jemmapes and Valmy, from the large basin of La Villette to Square Frédérick-Lemaître. At this point the canal disappears underground and only reappears at Arsenal marina.
