EXPLORING THE CÔTE VERMEILLEThe Côte Vermeille begins in the south of Pyrénées-Orientales, alongside Argelès-sur-Mer. Here, the long, sandy beaches of the Languedoc and Roussillon coastlines give way to rocky creeks, where the waves die away. It is home to fishing harbours and marinas, tucked away in coves protected from passing storms. The Côte Vermeille stretches all the way to Portbou on the Spanish border, via Collioure, Port-Vendres, Banyuls-sur-Mer and Cerbère.
