Stéphanie and Didier have been at it for 35 years in a profession where no day is like any other. They breathed new life into an old farm in Besse-et-Saint-Anastaise, which they converted into a 3-star hotel and restaurant located 45 km south of Clermont-Ferrand, within the protected nature area of the Auvergne Volcanoes Regional Park. Over the years, they added on to the buildings, which now boast 32 guest rooms, a unique open-kitchen restaurant, and several conference rooms. With something for everyone, Auberge de la Petite Ferme, Super-Besse East, The Originals Relais has a parking lot, children's play area with an excellent view, a small fitness room, a spa, a billiard room and a lounge. Stéphanie, Didier and their staff are accessible and have lots of ideas for ways you can take full advantage of their region's beauty and activities.
The 32 guest rooms (including 10 suites) of Auberge de la Petite Ferme, Super-Besse East, The Originals Relais are all different. Each is named after a mountain range, and the décor varies between contemporary and old-fashioned. In any case, the space, comfort and quality of services are all to exacting standards. Most rooms offer a magnificent view of nature from the balcony. In some rooms, exposed beams and vaulted ceilings create a real chalet feel.
Take a seat in the dining room to start the day with a generous breakfast with sweet and savoury options: home-made pastries, mountain meats, regional cheeses, home-smoked salmon, and more. Here the two key words are home-made and local. At dinner, you can forget about your diet – make room for terrine de campagne, Salers steak, truffade potatoes, pounti, lentils and tripoux. Everything is cooked before your eyes in the open kitchen.

Didier's favourite experience here is to “climb up the Puy de Sancy on a beautiful day to get an unbelievable 360° view over a territory covering one-seventh of France.” The region offers thousands of other possibilities, which the innkeeper will be happy to tell you about.
Whether in summer or winter, after a hike, an excursion or a day of skiing, relax in the hotel’s small fitness room, spa, billiard room or lounge.
There is no shortage of activities in the region. All types of activities are possible, from the most classic to the most surprising.
