For over a century, the grand building of Domaine de Haslach has stood proudly over the heights of Munster, its imposing silhouette dominating the landscape. “When I learned that the sanatorium was relocating to the valley, I decided to acquire the property,” explains Christian, the site’s owner since 2018. “Forty years ago, I used to deliver wood here. I fell in love with the estate and wanted to preserve it as it was. I couldn’t imagine the building being altered by another project.” A native of the region, Christian made a name for himself in the timber trade and used his expertise as a seasoned entrepreneur to breathe new life into the estate. His vision was not to create a hotel but a tourist residence, offering guests a sense of independence. Seven years of renovation were required to transform the main building into 31 apartments, while also adding seven eco-lodges and five treehouses nestled in the park’s seven hectares. Now part of The Originals Collection, Domaine de Haslach also features a restaurant, three conference rooms, and a wellness area. “I believe this is my greatest professional achievement: allowing guests to reconnect with nature in one of the most emblematic places of the Munster Valley.”

The Originals Collection, Domaine de Haslach tourist residence offers 31 accommodations not just rooms, but apartments ranging from studios to suites. Each one provides space and independence, complete with a fully equipped kitchen. The interiors are bright, and the harmonious, minimalist décor creates a relaxing atmosphere. Some accommodations in the historic building feature large terraces with panoramic views of the Munster Valley and the surrounding peaks. For a deeper connection with nature, the 7 eco-lodges and 5 treehouses offer a true forest retreat, each enhanced by spacious outdoor terraces.
Flavors and craftsmanship of the region! Focusing on local and seasonal products, the restaurant at the hotel residence offers a wide range of homemade dishes, from brasserie-style meals to semi-gastronomic plates. The warm, contemporary décor adds to the inviting atmosphere of the space. Outdoor seating is also available on the terrace.
