“What motivates me is the contact with my guests, keeping them happy, sharing this ‘like-at-home spirit’ that prevails here.”
In the heart of nature and Alsatian vineyards, very close to Sélestat, Le Verger des Châteaux, The Originals Relais seems like such a peace haven. For Isabelle who runs it, this Dieffenthal hotel must symbolise the Alsatian art de vivre. And invite guests to really make the most of the charms of a magnificent region. Especially as this welcoming and comfortable 3-star hotel is located on the Alsace wine route. Isabelle extols the friendliness and warmth of the service, the pleasure of relaxing in an idyllic setting. The 32 cosy rooms have an authentic charm with the ambiance of a family home. With its restaurant and bar, this hotel is an ideal place to enjoy the gentle way of life in the Alsace region.

- Room service

The hotel also has La Winstub, a pleasant bar where you can relax over a drink and something to eat with colleagues or friends. And you can begin discovering the regional flavours from breakfast time. A buffet breakfast is served in the dining room or out on the terrace. You should try the traditional kougelhopf as well as some excellent regional cheeses.
La Table du Verger
The hotel is ideally located between Strasbourg and Colmar, on the Alsace wine route among Dieffenthal hotels. An invitation to sample the charms of the Bas-Rhin department.
VISIT STRASBOURGA trip to Strasbourg always includes the famous Notre Dame cathedral, a real masterpiece of Gothic art. Built between 1015 and 1439, in pink sandstone from Vosges, this cathedral has a remarkable façade and a 142m spire. The view over Strasbourg from the platform at 66m is stunning. Especially the La Petite France district, one of the best preserved of old Strasbourg. Take a mini-cruise along the canals, the scenery is incredible romantic. Boat trips set out from Rohan pier.
TRIP TO COLMARSome call it the ‘Little Venice’. Because Colmar can be visited on foot or by boat on the canals. But with its fountains and half-timbered houses, Colmar remains symbolic of a postcard image of Alsace... The town offers wonderful surprises such as Unterlinden or Bartholdi museums. In the town centre you can see the House of Heads (built in the early 17th century) which owes its name to the 111 heads adorning its façade, or the Pfister house, a beautiful Bourgeois building from Renaissance times but with medieval design.
THE ALSACE WINE ROUTEOpened in 1953, the Alsace wine route is one of the oldest of its kind in France. This route winds for 170km from Marlenheim in the north to Thann in the south of the region. It crosses through 70 wine-growing villages renowned for being the most beautiful villages in Alsace. You can discover the fortified towns and villages of Eguisheim, Kaysersberg, Ribeauvillé, Riquewihr, Andlau, Obernai... If you wish to hike through the vineyards there are around fifty signposted wine footpaths which allow you to discover all the secrets of the most prestigious vineyards.
What our customers say
"In the heart of Alsace and few steps from any sightseeing of Alzace!"
I love to travel frequently to Alzace and finding this Hotel was a great discovery: very spacious!!! room hotels, with nice balconies, nice and big hall in Alzacien style and with big green area around. I found it accessible for moms with pushchairs and elderly people or with health limitations, there are few stairs at entry, but there is pass organised for disabled and within hotel the doors are wide and no thresholds and there is a lift. There is a very nice Mediterranean style terrace for breakfasts and diners and very nice green garden with few intimate lounge zones. I really-really loved breakfasts - for all tastes: fruits, yogurts of choice, jams of choice, many cakes and tarts and pastries, as well as eggs, and choice of cheeses, everyday new assortment. The Parking was big and spacious, open air one however from all sides and accessible for sport cars and retrocars. Its just 10 meters away from walking passes in vineyards and 10 min from Ribeauville, however it is very quiet hoteL. I would recommend it for families, for groups, for couples and for elderly people. For business people - there was a conference room, but who works in Alzace after all?
"Excellent alternative to Colmar"
We enjoyed our stay in the middle of the vineyards, close to the beautiful old towns of Colmar and Ribeauvillé. The room is spacious and clean. We had a balcony overlooking the vines. The service was friendly and competent. The high rating reflects the reasonable price of less than EUR 100 incl. breakfast for two.
"Charning hotel in Alsace"
We have stayed for one night in December to visit the wineyards the next day. The hotel is really nice, the staff was friendly and helpful. The restaurant was great, delicious dinner and really quick crew. The room was big. The only thing that was a real bummer for us is that the bed was very narrow and the matrass was not very comfortable. Basically we haven't actually slept the night. If the bed would have been different, we would have said that it is really an ideal place to stay at!
Le Verger des Châteaux, The Originals Relais has a fully equipped seminar room.
