Domaine du Limonay The Originals Collection

Caroline and Yoann took over Domaine du Limonay on 1 May 2020. Caroline comes from a family of hoteliers but Yoann is not an insider. However, they chose and shaped this project together. “It’s a new chapter in our career path.” A challenge too: bringing to life an establishment dating back to 1936. “The hotel does, of course, have history but we were mostly won over by its potential.” It offers 49 rooms, a gourmet restaurant, an amazing pool and easy access with Cancale, Saint-Malo and Mont Saint-Michel nearby. The couple were not short on ideas to awaken the sleeping beauty: opening a gourmet bistro restaurant, offering new services, etc. Their goal: bringing the sparkle back to the four stars on the façade of the venerable Domaine du Limonay in Saint-Méloir-des-Ondes in Brittany.

Split between three separate buildings, the 49 rooms at the Domaine du Limonay are all spacious, comfortable and fully soundproofed. Some offer direct access to the covered pool while others open onto balconies or terraces. From the charm of attic rooms to the classic beauty of mouldings or completely understated decoration, they all boast different styles based on the principles of home staging: giving them a new lease of life while staying true to the past.

En route to the buffet, jams, cakes and scrambled eggs leave the kitchens of the hotel’s gourmet restaurant. Also on the buffet are a range of sweet and savoury offerings from local producers to awaken your taste buds. Maison Tirel will open a gourmet bistro restaurant in 2021. But it won’t overshadow the bar area on the lovely veranda.

LA GOUESNIERE

Creative and rich, modern and thoughtful, the menu lists traditional seafood alongside surprising offerings to delight the taste buds, nose and eyes.

The Restaurant La Gouesnière is open for lunch and dinner from Wednesday to Sunday.

"Bon séjour"

Nous avons été bien accueillis au sein de l'hôtel par le personnel. La piscine et le jaccuzzi sont agréables. Nous avons bien mangé le soir au restaurant gastronomique ainsi qu'au petit déjeuner. Il y a juste le matelas dans la chambre qui était un peu trop mou à notre goût nous avons pas trop bien dormi.

"We had a very good stay"

After several stays in the hotel managed by the previous owners,we discovered with pleasure the improvements made by Mr and mrs Jego in terms of restaurants offers including "Gastro" and "Bistro". We experienced both offers with great pleasure. We booked the superior pool room and we were satisfied by the housekeeping.
