Attention, fitness enthusiasts! The Originals City, Artyster Le Mans, features a small fitness room equipped with strength training machines, a treadmill, yoga mats, and a Swiss ball everything you need to get moving. And for a little extra motivation, a giant inflatable smiley beams at you with cheerful encouragement!

A city of history, Le Mans is also a city of contemporary art. In fact, it’s a city of street art. Here, street art is an institution that has brought together the greatest artists of the discipline since 2019 during the Plein Champ festival (held on the first weekend of July). For three days, artists create works on mobile structures, which are then displayed throughout the city’s neighborhoods. To date, more than 50 urban artworks can be discovered. Among them is the monumental fresco by Seth. Titled Rabbit Hole, this anamorphic work spans three buildings and six stories, and was voted the second most beautiful mural in the world! The name Cité Plantagenêt refers to the Old Le Mans. Surrounded by a perfectly preserved Roman wall dating from the late 3rd century, the Cité covers an area of 9 hectares. Saved from the wars, especially the bombings of 1944, Le Mans has preserved an incomparable heritage where you can discover around a hundred timber-framed houses from the Middle Ages and beautiful Renaissance mansions, such as the houses of Queen Bérengère, the Two Friends, and Adam and Eve, all waiting to be explored during your strolls.

Located on a megalithic site, Saint-Julien Cathedral is one of the largest in France (5,000 m²). Imagine the stone carts pulled by 56 oxen, taking turns during its construction! The Romanesque nave with its majestic capitals, stunning painted ceilings, a 34 meter-high choir, and the Gothic apse with its impressive system of flying buttresses, not to mention the stained-glass windows in vibrant colors... Be sure to find the Ascension window, the oldest in the world still on site, which is 900 years old and recently restored.
