There's no restaurant at the hotel but Laurent will be delighted to recommend some great places in Le Mans. However, the bar-lounge awaits for those of you looking to unwind with family, friends or colleagues. And to get the day off to a good start, Laurent serves a breakfast buffet in a lovely setting.

"Greta hotel in Le Mans"

Easy to find by sat nav and the hotel has car parking right on site. Rooms were clean and fresh. Hotel staff were very friendly, Bar man spent some time chatting with us as we had a nice cold beer after a walk around the local area. Access was very good (one of the party is disabled). Breakfast was nice, continental with breads, ham, cereal, coffee croissants, etc

"Warm welcome - nothing too much trouble"

Warm welcome upon arrival. We'd called ahead to check we could bring our puppy and it was no problem, she was well accommodated, along with our two children. Spacious rooms, possibly in need of updating, but very comfortable. We had a family suite with 2 bedrooms and a bathroom and it was huge. Parking at the hotel was a big bonus for us. Staff were very helpful and spoke many languages. There is a bar at the hotel for drinks, but no restaurant, however, you are welcome to order from a list of restaurants in the area and you can dine in your room or in the recently renovated reception area. The night concierge did this for us and our food arrived promptly. Breakfast was not included in the price of our room, which was a €36 surprise on the bill at the end! Expensive for me, as I only drank a coffee and our children each ate a bowl of cereal and a croissant. A little bit of a disappointment as we'd just stayed in a hotel the previous evening where we'd had a cooked breakfast included in a similarly-priced hotel. Despite this, we would recommend this hotel.

"Great hotel"

The hotel was clean, friendly staff and enjoyable to stay. The surrounding location did not feel safe and particularly at night time. Easily accessible for several metro stations. Overall a great stay but stay aware outside.

"Lovely stop over"

Clean with an super comfortable bed. Very helpful in allowing us to store our bikes securely. Only 10 minutes to the centre and yet quiet. Friendly and welcoming staff.

"Great stopover on the way to Spain"

Friendly staff. Accommodated our request for room for less mobile guest and our dog. Bed was AMAZINGLY comfortable as were the pillows. Breakfast and Beer quite pricey but would definitely use again.

"Great Find"

Charming hotel well situated and with car parking (if space available) Had a very spacious room - it had an old style France feel to it and we loved it. Didn't stay for breakfast or have a drink as wanted to explore Le Mans a little before leaving for ferry. A good stop over for our journey to the Dordogne.

The magnificent Château du Lude stands on the edges of the Loir, 45 km from Le Mans. An hour from the hotel, the Perche Regional Nature Reserve is an invitation to recharge your batteries in a rural spot on the border between Normandy and Centre-Val de Loire. Explore the region's lush, sloping meadows and oak- and beech-lined hills by bike or on a Percheron horse. Beautiful manor houses are scattered amid the wooded countryside and forests. In each market town, B&Bs, restaurants and artisan and antique shops embody the region's gentle way of life.

THINGS TO DO NEARBY

At nightfall, catch the chimera with illuminations on the side of the Le Mans old town and seven other Le Mans locations every summer. Head to the Carré Plantagenêt, the archaeology and history museum which looks back at the history of Sarthe, from prehistoric times to the late Middle Ages. A 15-minute drive away, explore the Epau Abbey in Yvré-l'Evêque, founded in 1229 by Bérangère de Navarre. Now a cultural site, it was listed as a Historical Monument in 1973. Wrap up your visit with a trip to the Pôle Européen du Cheval equestrian centre which is open during competition season.
