The Froger family established their hotel in Chartres-de-Bretagne, at the gates of Rennes - a peaceful and pleasant setting between city and countryside. The Originals Boutique, Hotel La Chaussairie, Rennes Chartres de Bretagne has since evolved to become an elegant 3-star establishment with original architecture. Christophe Froger is now in charge of improving the family business. A successful endeavour reflected in this modern, elegant and functional 36-room hotel. The decoration was inspired by the automotive world, but what matters most of all is the quality of the welcome, the human touch," explains Christophe. The hotel must meet the expectations of both tourists and business travellers. Whether they’re looking for understated simplicity, quality or friendliness, Christophe has the answer: his sense of hospitality.

That's why the rooms in his 3-star establishment, from standard to super cosy, are perfectly adapted to meet the expectations of couples, friends, families or colleagues. They can also accommodate from 1 to 4 people. Understated comfort is the order of the day in the 36 rooms, 9 of which have a lovely private terrace. The contemporary style incorporates soothing hues, designer touches and many modern elements to really facilitate their guests’ stay. Two rooms are accessible to people with reduced mobility.

WALKING IN RENNES

The hotel is just 20 minutes from Rennes city centre, offering easy access to the capital of Brittany. Some of the sites worth a visit include the ancient city that escaped the great fire of 1720. It has retained its fifteenth and sixteenth century houses with their overhanging upper floors. Must-see streets to stroll along include Saint-Sauveur and Saint-Guillaume (maison Ti Koz), La Psalette, Chapitre (Hôtel de Brie and Hôtel de Blossac), Saint-Yves and Rue des Dames (Hôtel Freslon de la Freslonnière).

The treasures of Rennes, a city of art, history and culture, include its amazing Fine Art Museum.
