If you want to commune with nature, Alexis recommends a mountain hike along the Encrenaz pass, at 1,433 meters of elevation. The hike is recommended for seasoned hikers. A hike to the Joux-Plane lake, between Samoëns and Morzine, is a less strenuous option for getting out into nature. A hike in the Fer-à-Cheval cirque at Sixt-Fer-à-Cheval offers breathtaking views.

Open all winter, this high-altitude wood chalet welcomes gastronomes – skiers or not – in a magnificent setting. This welcoming restaurant and its patio drenched in sunlight is located in La Turche. A stove will warm up those who are cold. On the menu: meats grilled on the wood-fired barbecue and a buffet of home-made desserts. The chalet is accessible on skis via the la Turche ski lift or the Les Perrières or Grains-d’Or chair lifts. It is about one hour from Le Sincerneret on snowshoes.
