Welcome to Alexis Mirigay’s hotel
Total authenticity, true generosity, simplicity enhanced by elegance. Here, the mountains are synonymous with pleasure. Welcome to Alexis Mirigay’s hotel in Savoie.
“The most important thing is to offer authentic products and real, sincere service that’s up to our standards.”
“What sets us apart is the quality as well as the simplicity and authenticity of our service”, says Alexis. And in the Mirigay family, these values have been cultivated for generations. Indeed, the Chalet-Hotel La Marmotte-La Tapiaz & SPA, The Originals Relais is a family affair, with one desire for excellence. The Chalet-Hotel La Marmotte-La Tapiaz & SPA, The Originals Relais has 61 rooms. One is traditional and rustic chic; the other is elegant, trendy and designer. Both are authentic chalets nestled in the heart of Les Gets, a lovely family ski resort in Haute Savoie. According to Alexis’ wishes, tradition rules and nature shines through. It’s an ambiance of utter well-being, with a spa and three restaurants providing opulence and delight.
“All our rooms are unique and warmly decorated. They were designed solely using fine local materials, such as wood, stone and metal”, Alex adds. The 61 rooms of the Chalet-Hotel La Marmotte-La Tapiaz & SPA, The Originals Relais are a real Savoyard-style hideaway. Antique furniture and one-of-a-kind objects lend a touch of originality. On the La Tapiaz side, the emphasis is more on uniting tradition and design. But the high level of comfort remains the same. Each room is unique, spacious, fully equipped – a discreet kind of modernity.
- Non smoking room
A mix of conviviality and flavours await upon waking up. The La Piste Noire restaurant offers a diverse full buffet breakfast, with a wide range of traditional breads, pastries, home-made jams, and regional cheeses and meats. The aptly named Cosy Bar is a warm and friendly place decked out with a big fireplace. The ambiance is different at L’Anka, a tapas bar where you can savour a friendly apéritif in a laid-back atmosphere. The Chalet-Hotel La Marmotte-La Tapiaz & SPA, The Originals Relais has four incredible restaurants to choose from.
LA PISTE NOIRE
The spa is huge, allowing you to really disconnect. Our “Séréni-Cîmes” spa has an impressive list of equipment and treatments devoted to well-being and opulence. Features include an indoor infinity pool, Jacuzzi with views of the slopes, hydro-relaxation area, traditional aromatic steam room, chromatic meditation sauna, sensory experience shower, and more. It's a real Zen retreat conducive to relaxation.
If you want to commune with nature, Alexis recommends a mountain hike along the Encrenaz pass, at 1,433 meters of elevation. The hike is recommended for seasoned hikers. A hike to the Joux-Plane lake, between Samoëns and Morzine, is a less strenuous option for getting out into nature. A hike in the Fer-à-Cheval cirque at Sixt-Fer-à-Cheval offers breathtaking views.
Located less than an hour from Geneva, between Mont Blanc and Lake Léman, the village of Les Gets is connected to the Portes du Soleil’s 650 km of trails. An asset that will entice lovers of winter sports and spectacular landscapes.
Open all winter, this high-altitude wood chalet welcomes gastronomes – skiers or not – in a magnificent setting. This welcoming restaurant and its patio drenched in sunlight is located in La Turche. A stove will warm up those who are cold. On the menu: meats grilled on the wood-fired barbecue and a buffet of home-made desserts. The chalet is accessible on skis via the la Turche ski lift or the Les Perrières or Grains-d’Or chair lifts. It is about one hour from Le Sincerneret on snowshoes.
What our customers say
"Decent hotel in Les Gets"
A very nice little chalet style hotel with indoor swimming pool. The number of staff were not enough at the time we're visiting but in general it was fine. Rooms are a bit old but well maintained.
"30th March - 3rd April"
Overall a great stay. I felt the classic room we stayed in was looking a little careworn, draw wouldn’t open and woodwork was scuffed. The grab rail in the bath was loose and did not feel secure. The swimming pool was difficult to use for me as there was no handrail on the steps into the pool, as a non skier I was looking forward to using the pool but did not feel secure on my own.
A place where you feel at home at once, warm, luxurious and practical.
"4 day skiing break"
The hotel is excellently located right next to the main lifts. Our room was located on the corner and so it was a little noisy at night with people making their way back; although I have stayed in far noisier resorts. The staff are very polite and helpful and the hotel is what you'd expect from a 4 star hotel. The small criticisms I would have are that the beds are very narrow and the pillows not very comfortable at all and that whilst wi-fi is available, it is very poor unless in the bar downstairs. All in all though I would definitely stay there gain.
"The perfect break"
I have been to Les gets many times it’s already my favourite place, my stay in l’ Marmotte has only enhanced my love for the place.
We loved the friendliness of the staff. Our room was spacious, clean and all the wood panelling made it welcoming. The pillows on the bed could be more comfortable.
"First time here"
Fantastic hotel, amazing service, lovely interior, good facilities. Most importantly, helpful staff, really helped me with my 40th birthday celebrations and looked after my friends amazingly well. Thank you..
