"Decent hotel in Les Gets"

A very nice little chalet style hotel with indoor swimming pool. The number of staff were not enough at the time we're visiting but in general it was fine. Rooms are a bit old but well maintained.

"30th March - 3rd April"

Overall a great stay. I felt the classic room we stayed in was looking a little careworn, draw wouldn’t open and woodwork was scuffed. The grab rail in the bath was loose and did not feel secure. The swimming pool was difficult to use for me as there was no handrail on the steps into the pool, as a non skier I was looking forward to using the pool but did not feel secure on my own.

"4 day skiing break"

The hotel is excellently located right next to the main lifts. Our room was located on the corner and so it was a little noisy at night with people making their way back; although I have stayed in far noisier resorts. The staff are very polite and helpful and the hotel is what you'd expect from a 4 star hotel. The small criticisms I would have are that the beds are very narrow and the pillows not very comfortable at all and that whilst wi-fi is available, it is very poor unless in the bar downstairs. All in all though I would definitely stay there gain.

"Very good"

We loved the friendliness of the staff. Our room was spacious, clean and all the wood panelling made it welcoming. The pillows on the bed could be more comfortable.

HIGH-ALTITUDE ADVENTURES

If you want to commune with nature, Alexis recommends a mountain hike along the Encrenaz pass, at 1,433 meters of elevation. The hike is recommended for seasoned hikers. A hike to the Joux-Plane lake, between Samoëns and Morzine, is a less strenuous option for getting out into nature. A hike in the Fer-à-Cheval cirque at Sixt-Fer-à-Cheval offers breathtaking views.

LA PAÏKA

Open all winter, this high-altitude wood chalet welcomes gastronomes – skiers or not – in a magnificent setting. This welcoming restaurant and its patio drenched in sunlight is located in La Turche. A stove will warm up those who are cold. On the menu: meats grilled on the wood-fired barbecue and a buffet of home-made desserts. The chalet is accessible on skis via the la Turche ski lift or the Les Perrières or Grains-d’Or chair lifts. It is about one hour from Le Sincerneret on snowshoes.
