The friendly atmosphere begins early in the morning with the buffet breakfast featuring local produce. This is the opportunity to taste excellent cheeses, delicious cured meats, jams and a variety of home-made and local cakes, all with surprising flavours. The same taste sensations are on offer at the hotel bar a little later in the day with home-made cocktails being served.

Neige et Roc

The restaurant offers traditional and “semi-gourmet” cuisine. Guests will get to discover local produce such as fish and shellfish from mountain lakes and rivers (perch, trout, char, crayfish) as well as Savoyard specialities, especially fondues, which are exquisitely prepared. Olivier, a French master restaurateur oversees the quality of the dishes, which are accompanied by a comprehensive wine list.

"Perfect stay, perfect location, perfect hospitality"

We stayed for 3 days in early September to hike in Sixt. Our stay was perfect. The hotel is very comfortable and taken care of with love. The proprietors steered us on wonderful hikes. And, the best part, the restaurant has wonderful food. Highly recommended.

"A short weekend stay"

We enjoyed our weekend stay at Neige et Roc. We have been a few times since 2018. Françoise and Olivier always provide a friendly welcome and are keen to help out. The family run hotel is traditionally decorated with wood panelling, mountain object d’art collections. The bedrooms are charming and comfortable and most have balconies. Breakfast is largely continental with a wide selection of fresh bread and pastries, cheese, cold meats, fruit, cereals, eggs and pancakes and a selection of teas and coffees. The dinner menu extends beyond local Savoyard food and was well prepared, cooked and presented. The bar is very well stocked and in summer these can be taken outside. The outdoor pool was a refreshing in the very warm weather we were experiencing. There was access to the indoor pool and spa. The Covid-19 precautions were well explained and we felt secure. We will definitely return separately for dinner but also for overnight stays in the future.

"A very pleasant stay in Samoens"

My wife and I stayed for six nights at the Neige et Roc and had a very nice time. We were part of a large party of 12 people, most of whom stayed elsewhere in Samoens, so we didn't spend much time at the Neige et Roc. However, our room was very comfortable and clean; the staff were very professional and friendly; the breakfasts were good; and the pools (indoor and out) were an excellent facility. And the hotel was situated within easy walking distance of the centre of town.

"A truly wonderful experience"

Neige et Roc is one of the best hotels we've ever stayed at. Excellent,service that left took care of all our needs and left us feeling welcome and well-looked after, without feeling fussy. Excellent onsite restaurant, pools (indoor and outdoor) tennis courts and spa. All set within walking of distance of Samoen's wonderful sites.

"lovely stay, delightful owners!"

Lovely place. A couple blocks away from the busier area, which is great (if you can consider any of samoens busy at all). The owners could not have been sweeter! We arrived late. Kitchen had already closed, but they still prepared a delicious plate of veggies for us and were super friendly and kind. The rooms are comfortable, the corner room with windows on two sides could not have been better - both for views and the fresh mountain air. And with little light pollution, we could enjoy stars from the balcony. All around great stay!

An excellent place to stay in Samoëns with gorgeous breakfast and very good restaurant. The rooms are big enough and very clean and the staff is very friendly. The atmosphere of the place is generally family-like and the place very quiet at night. To be recommended.
