Laurence has travelled greatly and she knows the hotel business. What she appreciates above all is the quality of the welcome, the kindness and attention. And that is what Laurence offers her guests at The Originals City, Hotel Porte de Genève, Annemasse South. Especially since this comfortable 3 star accommodation near Geneva and the Alps bears the style of a Savoie chalet: friendly, relaxed and warm. "What truly sets us apart from the large hotel chains is the personalised welcome of our customers," specifies Laurence. Simplicity and sincerity are the cornerstone of an entire team dedicated to the satisfaction of its guests. All of this in a hotel which makes use of the local traditions and mountain ambiance to increase the sense of well-being.

The traditional restaurant provides the opportunity to rediscover certain French specialities and to savour delicious local dishes. The chef offers a simple menu based on classics prepared with local products.

LE BISTROT DES ALPES

The Savoie ambiance and home-cooking perfectly come together near the Alps. The chef at Le Bistrot des Alpes relies on local products to offer dishes for the occasion, notably the fondue, the tartiflette and the raclette, all typical of Haute-Savoie. If you want to review your classics or to discover the Savoie region cooking: the raclette accompanied by a selection of charcuterie remains a staple. On the menu as well: the beef brochette with sweet potato purée and pizzas and grills. A pure delight.

"perfect business hotel if you are by car"

this 2 or 3 star hotel is actually close to 4 star quality as it has rather posh rooms in an Alpine theme, a not too small bathroom with decent walk in shower, and private parking space in front of it .... you can but are not obliged to have breakfast and/or diner there as well

My second stay at this hotel as it is in good location because it is peaceful and close to shuttle. Plenty of parking also helps. Staff helpful in changing my room for one with fridge. "Great location and friendly staff"

Due to COVID-19 some issues with reception timing but not a big deal as they will call you if you arrive early. Breakfast is ok nothing special and no cheese for the 2 days we stayed in and also in room 1 AC out of order both days. Lovely pizzas and location is good as you got McDonald’s, Buffalo Grill and supermarket across the road. And the petrol station too. Do visit Chamonix Mont Blanc on a scenic route and not on the toll, it’s really worth it.

"Nice Hotel"

Very nice hotel who fully lived up to what we had expected. The surroundings where an industrial area, but that was no problem at all. Good food - nice personnel. We will love to visit you again. :-)

TÉLÉPHÉRIQUE DU SALÈVE

It departs from Pas-de-l'Échelle in Étrembières. Altitude: 432 m. Five minutes later, you've arrived at route de Trois-Lacs in Monnetier-Mornex. Altitude: 1,093 m. At the summit, not only is the air pure, but the view of Geneva is stunning. As it is of the téléphérique's station, a true architectural jewel dating back to the 1930s. From up there, various hikes are possible.

Laurence particularly recommends the visit of Yvoire, a small fortified village located 40 minutes by car from Gaillard. Classified as one of "France's most beautiful villages," the small medieval city can be discovered on the shores of Lake Geneva on which it sits. A pure wonder.
